Why is another pet store better than a Dollar General? It is likely the lower-income residents in the nieghborhood (if there are any left) need a store like a Dollar General to meet their needs rather than a *third* pet shop. Additionally, the two pet stores that already exist within a three block radius from there are locally-owned. We need to support those folks and our community, not these giant chains that operate under the guise of small businesses. Ditto for the Rita's. What a waste!

I think you have to experience the overwhelmingly depressing atmosphere of the Pacific NW to really understand grunge. Once I did, it all clicked for me. Nirvana never sounded so good.
