Was in downtown Halifax yesterday where lots of tents were set up for free noon time concerts and multiple evening events during the Jazz Festival. Would be great for a jazz fan.

Another great entertaining posting, what may be mundane to you can actually be interesting to us. Or at least to me. I'm guessing that the boy is working 7 days a week and that explains the lack of info from him- he is just too busy!! Sounds like a good idea to put everything in writing for your BD boss.

Congrats on everything but most especially for standing up for yourself with Stray. Your work experience with Greenpeace is paying off.
And speaking of the east coaster is he still with you as we haven't had any blog comments from him lately?
AND so glad you are hooked on the surfing, hear it is a great sport in some areas!!
Merry Christmas, seems natural to be celebrating since it is winter there. Meanwhile we are enjoying the longest day of the year with a bit of rain and some wind which probably is creating decent surf conditions.

Now that sounds like an entertaining afternoon, much less stressful than swimming with the sharks. Wine and beer all in one go, CB is definitely expanding her horizons. Would have loved to see the trip home on video.

Hope you made it with no pboblems. At least you are used to winter driving although George may not be so keen. Glad our forecast is not for 10-20 cm snow with high winds!!

Sounds like a great day. I'm thinking the girl who kept rolling might have had the most fun- or maybe it is more fun picturing it than actually doing it!! Anyhow, glad your first dive was great, probably better than trying it in the cold Atlantic.
Great news re George being ready to go and under budget. Also like the name "tic tac".

Are you sure you have the real Matthew? The one we sent over there sleeps through anything- smoke alarms, multiple alarm clocks, the list goes on.
Congrats on the car, must be a relief to have made the big purchase. Are you shedding a few tears on "Strays" behalf? And BF doesn't get to experience the joys of bus travel.

Christine, your mother is such a smart lady, a big city is just not for you!! But maybe a smaller city as I don't think an Antigonish size town would work either. Off hand I can't think of a perfect place but I would be willing to do some "unbiased" research such you seem to be otherwise occupied right now!!

Isn't it rather ironic that the common NZ greetings includes "kia"? Maybe that will become your favorite auto when you return to Canada!!

I have a friend with one of these from Australia. She was there training as a fitness instructor for breast cancer survivors. Saw these at a farmer's market and decided she would carry it onto the plane. The large platter is now on her coffee table!!

WOW, it took the mention of a male name to get the boy's first comment on the blog!! And I can't believe that half a world apart, you both are sick at the same time- true karma.

I'm still absorbing your long and deep comments in your previous blog. A lot of great "stuff" there. We love you too!! And I am a bit biased but yes your boyfriend is pretty amazing.

GREAT update Christine. Some super pictures too. It doesn't look cold and wet but I guess you are only out there taking photos when the weather is decent .
We are enjoying the weekend with the boy. Counting the days life you, but in a different way!!!

Wonderful to hear that you love the fog as we are blessed with lots of fog in Halifax!!! Running along the Bedford Basin with the fog just lifting, can't you just picture it???
