I can't believe I'm about to say this but Kurt, I completely agree. And you make an excellent point about Chris Wetiz & Branagh's decision to have death and this idea of doing things differently at the forefront. The movie almost seems fresh in it's throwback to a "classic" fairy tale.

And I take a little bit of issue with the comment that the movies is completely from Cinderella's perspective when in fact, it's as much about the Prince as it is about her. Yes, the final of the story is all about her but one of my favourite moments doesn't include Cinderella (thinking specifically of the King's death scene which is really touching and one of my favourites).

At this point, I'm convinced it'll be a year before I get my Kickstarter goodie but it's for a good reason so I can't complain. Hope I get the chance to see it on the big screen!

More love for Speed Racer - sweetness!

I have so many unwatched movies in my colection I'm not sure where to even start. I have devised a new approach though - I don't file anything until I've seen it so at least I'm not adding more stuff to the library unwatched.

As for bad movies that I stil have copies of... the place I used to take my stuff to for trade has closed and I haven't found a replacement. Too bad because the crap is really adding up. I may need to start unloading it on unsuspecting strangers or swap meets or something. As they say, one woman's trash is another woman's treasure!

1. What's the deal with Kings of Leon? Am I the only person on the planet who: a) doesn't know who they are and b) hasn't heard anything impressive from them?

2. Recently discovered Bon Iver. Jealous that you're seeing him.

3. Tool AND Beastie Boys at the same time? I'd be in a panic. Would love to see Almosphere.

4. Holy FUCK. You HAVE to see the Kaiser Chiefs. I've seen them 2 and they put on a fabulous show!

I hadn't even heard about MGMT until they topped the list of Last.fm's top 10. I took a listen and initially only dug a few of the tunes but the album as a whole is growing on me. This is one of my fave tunes and that video is seriously wicked.

I'm not a huge fan either though there are tunes form all their albums that I like.

If we're talking new(ish) Brit Pop, I'm a bigger fan of both Keane and the Kaiser Chiefs. The latter are beyond awesome. Their second album was mediocre but "Off With Their Heads" which came out last year is all sort of crazy greatness.
