I have never understood the obsession with viewing full web sites on a mobile device. I do appreciate the ability of new mobile browsers to load full web sites but it is something I only use for the occasional convenience. I prefer to keep my mobile browsing light and quick, saving the heavy lifting for when I am back at my PC.

Re: Bold New Ground

When you say navigation mechanism are you talking about the d-pad? That is, hands down, the biggest fail of the Fuze. I have to agree with the previous commenter. Your usage is quite off the charts. I can tell you that the Fuze has much better battery life than my Tilt had.Worst battery life I've ever had was a Dell Axim. You couldn't do anything on that without running down the battery. And it wasn't even a phone! That's windows for you.

Re: Battery Blues

Catching up on your blog. I was starting to wonder about my battery the past few weeks. I don't think I had anything as short as this but I noticed a severe drop off. Usually I can make it 14-16 hours between charges and still have 20% or so battery left. Suddenly I was running out of battery at about the 10 hour mark. This would with ceTwit running the entire time, email polling every two hours, and 3g turned off. Last week I did a hard reset and now I have about 40% battery life after10-12 hours of the same type of use with 3g turned ON.
I have a mostly complete log of all installations before my hard reset and I'm keeping a log again this time so hopefully I can find the culprit. One thing I have not installed yet is S2U2 so I'm wondering if there might be something there.

Re: Finger-Menu for Windows Mobile

Been waiting all day to check this blog entry. The Curve is a really nice size and probably has the best keyboard I have seen outside of my HTC S621. If the Curve had 3G I probably would have gone with it when I got my Tilt. And you are dead on about the Fuze D-pad. I love my Fuze but that d-pad is the worst. I often miss the d-pad on my Tilt, I keep wondering why HTC doesn't do any front facing QWERTY phones anymore. I loved my 621 and would have stuck with that style if they added GPS and 3G. And I'm just rambling now so, I'm out.

Re: Palm Brings the Fire with the PRE

I've been a Palm owner in the past. PDA only, no phone. And I really loved my device. If this new Palm OS syncs as well as previous versions I would be sorely tempted to jump ship and go back to Palm. It is my opinion that Palm gets syncing better than any other smart device devolpers. Hopefully they didn't throw that out to get the shiny newness of this soon to be released OS.

Re: Camera Comparison

Um, Ignore this.

Re: Camera Comparison

I find the Fuze picture is less grainy. I have never been impressed with HTC cameras. They definitely require a bit of tweaking to take good pics. I have not spent a lot of time playing with the Fuze camera but I can tell you that the Incandescent setting does much better indoors than auto. Also I have my Contrast setting set at +4 rather than the default +3. That helps quite a bit.

Re: Wygle>Wide>Web • Dotty’s Reaction to Doll House you can’t see it,...

Awesome.

Re: PockeTwit: Now with Twitter Maps

Ha! I have yet to find one which matches its form factor. Now all HTC makes in smartphones are dual keyboard sliders. Sad. At least my 621 lives on with my son running a 6.1 ROM.

Re: Does Your Device Excite You?

Yes, my device does push my buttons, but I have the Fuze so you shouldn't be surprised. After switching from a front facing keyboard to the ATT Tilt I never adjusted. Always missed my old device, except for the lack of 3g or GPS. After ditching the Tilt in favor of the Fuze, however, I know I am home. I will even admit to having a little iPhone envy when I owned the Tilt. No longer. The Fuze is a keeper!
