"The biggest threat to America is liberal pinko dipshits". Well, that's...that's just great. Thanks for clearing that up. Your biggest threat is liberals? You must not have as many problems as you thought. Because, well, if you're afraid of liberals that would make you afraid of....lets think here....capitalism, universal suffrage, healthcare (in any form), do-gooding, the freedom of religion and a whole host of other things you ignorant Americans hold so dearly.

Bloody hell. It annoys me so intently that people in the US can't see that their country was founded on essentially liberal thought. What a bunch of idiots...

Re: Blog Advertising - EntreCard, Adgitize, and Beyond

I looked at EntreCard last week, but was put off by the lack of explanation as to how it worked. It seems like a good idea but just isn't very well managed as of yet.

Re: Your View: Does God Exist?

Sorry, I said the majority are atheists, ignore that part. I copied and pasted this in from something I wrote on blogcatalog.

Re: Your View: Does God Exist?

That was a very shot and sweet answer. Would you mind elaborating a little?

Re: Your View: Does God Exist?

Hi,
I came across an interesting theory about religion. Even though the majority of us here are atheists, we all have to recognise that religion has been a massive influence for humanity. Ever culture on Earth, completely independent of each other, has created its own religions, with gods, resurrections, and miracles.

So, the theory is this: evolution. Ironic really. The theory is that the time in which the human mind seems to be particularly susceptible to religious belief was in the ages gone by in our existence of low-level technology and low-level scientific understanding. Now, as the science world has taken off in the last 100 years, our understanding of the world around us, even the stars above us, has increased exponentially. This has lead to questions like "How does the sun rise", that would previously be given a god to answer, being given perfectly logical explanations - the Earth rotates, creating the illusion that the Sun moves around us. As this sort of understanding has developed we have seen a major push towards what we now call Atheism - non-belief in a god, but trust in science.

So, what do you guys think. Is scientific understanding paving the way to the "evolutionary" decline of religions and the rise of atheists?
