Personally, I hate Samsung phones. I think TouchWiz is awful. I had an s6 active, and it was slower than my G2 because of all the bloatware, and the battery life was awful.

If I set an alarm with ok Google, it didn't show up in the alarms list, so I couldn't edit or delete it, and someone who had an s5 told me they had the same issue.

Not knocking Samsung per se, but I've personally had much better experience with LG, and i prefer them. Hell, my LG motion was a low power budget device and i was very happy with it.

I'm not sure that's true. If you're just paying the penalty, it puts money in their coffers with no overhead. They don't have to pay your doctor when you get a stye or something minor, and therefore they will be saving great deals of money.

I don't know the particulars of the deal, but the penalty can very well be cheaper than the coverage without any negative repercussions.

yeah, i do this when i remember, but i have to make sure to throw in the name a few times over, or i still forget. sometimes i can do mnemonic devices (mike, mike, he rides a bike), or just mentally say the person's name in a silly phrase (mike took his duck to shang-hai), and that helps.

usually, i just end up apologizing to the person and getting their name again. :)

I feel like the techniques of persuasion are not inherently evil. If I offer a valuable service, and believe I do a better job than my competitors, that still won't necessarily get me the sale. So learning how people form positive opinions, and utilizing that to convince them is not bad in and of itself. I am a horrible salesperson if I don't believe in my product because I don't believe in fooling people. However, if you believe in your product, and you are leading someone towards something that is good for both of you, there is no problem.

Lying or implying false information, however, is a no no, even if the product is good.

so you go up and talk to girls about the weather? do you ever play games with friends? these games work also if a girl tries to get you to buy HER a drink too. you say, well let's play a game, loser buys. it makes you more fun, and shows that you're not willing to just buy her affection. it's about communicating your value to people, and being willing to step outside of the box of daily drudgery increases your worth.

i find it funny that when the discussion turns to men learning the same sophisticated social games that women play on a regular basis, people get offended.

the thing about these techniques is that they are meant to open people up to you; what you do with that is your decision. i know lots of guys who aren't able to talk to strangers, because they're not good at the social thing. if you go up to someone you don't know, and play a game with them, it's fun. your goal may be to get laid, or it may be to meet someone interesting.

and if it's to get laid, there's no problem, because the woman gets to decide too. or are women too stupid to handle their own lives?

seriously, people. let go, and have some fun. if you don't suffer from crippling social anxiety, you have no basis for judgment. and if you do, stop criticizing people who are willing to work on their problems.

a great movie with kids is 'let the right one in'. it's about an alienated 12 year old boy who meets a 12 year old vampire girl. it's one of the better vampire movies i've seen, and some of the best cinema to include kids in major roles. city of lost children is awesome, too.

it means nothing because one is unable to substantiate and/or insubstantiate aspects of a person's personality based on comments on the internet.

FWIW, I don't consider my perceptions of the actions of others whom I have no control over whatsoever to be the defining point on whether or not someone is sexist. I consider whether the person treats people of distinct genders distinctly where inappropriate (meaning I am sexually attracted to women, and there is are norms involving courtship that wouldn't fly with someone of my gender) to be the defining characteristic. Which can not be verified via the tubes, lady.

I'm not trying to look like nobody can debate me. I'm not whining that I'm discovered, I'm pointing out that you people call me a troll and reduce yourselves to the level of ad hominem attacks, baseless accusations, blatant sexism, and ridicule because I hold an opposing viewpoint.

I find it ironic that it is often those who claim to hold the moral high ground that have no problem resorting to the same tactics they decry. Read the conversation here. You use logical fallacies from ad hominem attacks to jumping to conclusions:

I still think the 50-foot vagina-american picture is photographically, a good picture. Given that there is sexual tension between men and women, and part of the male anatomy, fyi, is referred to as nuts, I think that it's pretty silly to expect that a large portion of the population wouldn't eventually think that someone who had been particularly cruel to them was a nutcracker. Can someone point me to a substantiated "99 Problems" story? Because I can't find one. It appears that someone said it once, it can't get verified, there's original video to discount the claim, and still the story ran. Why can't I find any decent evidence on this? And why do people repeat bullshit that spills into their ears without any concern as to its veracity?

As for Barack Obama's silence on the gender issue, I think that Clinton is equally silent about specific issues pertaining to, and damaging, Barack. I could be wrong here.
