I think TouchWiz is awful. I had an s6 active, and it was slower than my G2 because of all the bloatware, and the battery life was awful.

If I set an alarm with ok Google, it didn't show up in the alarms list, so I couldn't edit or delete it, and someone who had an s5 told me they had the same issue.

Not knocking Samsung per se, but I've personally had much better experience with LG, and i prefer them. Hell, my LG motion was a low power budget device and i was very happy with it.

Re: Lenovo spills the beans on the ThinkPad X100e

i don't particularly care what os anybody uses, but i doubt people will be buying the x100e for anything related to gaming. unless it's doom, in which case linux will do fine. :)

Re: Guantanamo critic removed from jury

i would think a jury of your peers wouldn't be made up entirely of members of the organization that tortured you. they're all going to be biased against him. the one person who agrees with the commander-in-chief is excluded?

most likely, they're just murdering that kid.

Re: http://shitmykidsruined.tumblr.com/post/612925729

rubbing alcohol will get rid of most sharpie marks. drinking alcohol will help with the rest. :)

Re: Extra Bonus Quote of the Day -- Political Wire

I'm not sure that's true. If I offer a valuable service, and believe I do a better job than my competitors, that still won't necessarily get me the sale. So learning how people form positive opinions, and utilizing that to convince them is not bad in and of itself. I am a horrible salesperson if I don't believe in my product because I don't believe in fooling people. However, if you believe in your product, and you are leading someone towards something that is good for both of you, there is no problem.

Lying or implying false information, however, is a no no, even if the product is good.

Re: How to Convince a Girl to Buy You a Drink

you're a silly girl. how many times have you gotten a guy to buy you a drink and then snubbed him? because, had they played a game with you instead, you probably would've kept talking to them.

what exactly is threatening about this?

Re: How to Convince a Girl to Buy You a Drink

so you go up and talk to girls about the weather? do you ever play games with friends? these games work also if a girl tries to get you to buy HER a drink too. you say, well let's play a game, loser buys. it makes you more fun, and shows that you're not willing to just buy her affection. it's about communicating your value to people, and being willing to step outside of the box of daily drudgery increases your worth.

Re: How to Convince a Girl to Buy You a Drink

i find it funny that when the discussion turns to men learning the same sophisticated social games that women play on a regular basis, people get offended.

the thing about these techniques is that they are meant to open people up to you; what you do with that is your decision. i know lots of guys who aren't able to talk to strangers, because they're not good at the social thing. if you go up to someone you don't know, and play a game with them, it's fun. your goal may be to get laid, or it may be to meet someone interesting.

and if it's to get laid, there's no problem, because the woman gets to decide too. or are women too stupid to handle their own lives?

seriously, people. let go, and have some fun. if you don't suffer from crippling social anxiety, you have no basis for judgment. and if you do, stop criticizing people who are willing to work on their problems.

Re: 20 Must See Films of Fantastic Fest 2009

a great movie with kids is 'let the right one in'. it's about an alienated 12 year old boy who meets a 12 year old vampire girl. it's one of the better vampire movies i've seen, and some of the best cinema to include kids in major roles. city of lost children is awesome, too.

Re: Q: What's the going rate for indisputably proving to the world that you are a tiny little man who is profoundly afraid of women?

it means nothing because one is unable to substantiate and/or insubstantiate aspects of a person's personality based on comments on the internet.

FWIW, I don't consider my perceptions of the actions of others whom I have no control over whatsoever to be the defining point on whether or not someone is sexist. I consider whether the person treats people of distinct genders distinctly where inappropriate (meaning I am sexually attracted to women, and there is are norms involving courtship that wouldn't fly with someone of my gender) to be the defining characteristic. Which can not be verified via the tubes, lady.

I'm not trying to look like nobody can debate me. I'm not whining that I'm discovered, I'm pointing out that you people call me a troll and reduce yourselves to the level of ad hominem attacks, baseless accusations, blatant sexism, and ridicule because I hold an opposing viewpoint.

I find it ironic that it is often those who claim to hold the moral high ground that have no problem resorting to the same tactics they decry. Read the conversation here. You use logical fallacies from ad hominem attacks to jumping to conclusions:
@ginmar:
These dipshits keep showing up, spewing insults and lies, and then with a flourish, they wait for women to go, "OMG, YOU'RE RIGHT! All this freedom and independence and self determination is so tedious! Let me toss it all aside to wait on some slacker loser like a slave! What a great deal!"

Glad you feel that way. I never implied you should do that. Maybe you should spend time with men who aren't assholes, the same way that if you were hanging out with women who were assholes, you'd find other people (I hope).

Let's list the insults:
Andrea called me a troll
Good ol' Carl told me to shut the fuck up (, dude)
I said you were all allowing yourselves to be bested intellectually by a loser.
ginmar called me a loser, and by his or her reference, a stupid asshole
ginmar insulted my sexuality and my ability to perform sexually.
ginmar insulted my hygiene (smelled my junk lately, have you? I must've been sleeping).
ginmar called me a woman-hater
ginmar implied that I'm aroused by the nutcracker
Astraea called my opinions garbage, which at least is just about my opinions. Thanks!
Carl called me a tiny little man who was afraid of women
I called you assholes
Dolores Shade told me to go back to the desert. It's better than hanging out with you folk, for sure.
bettieboondoggie called me a coward

So 9 direct insults about me personally, and 2 more indirect insults, to 1 indirect, and 1 direct insult. Which I think asshole is only a half-insult, because assholes get stuff done. So sayeth Hillary Clinton, anyway. Not in so many words, but I agree with her there.

And I'm the troll?

Re: Hmm

I'm totally aware I'm posting on an old thread. So I'm not trolling. Look shit up if you don't know what the fuck it means. So I'm assuming the reason why there's a comment box is for agreement? I wasn't being rude, and I was on-topic.

Thanks, assholes:
"Feminism: freedom, power, peace of mind, independence, self respect, and self determination.

Sexist male trolls: Um....Yeah, let me work on that a minute. I mean, are they offering poor hygiene, premature ejaculation, and woman hating as bargaining chips?

Seriously, trolls, thegnu in particular---work on that, will you? You don't have anything to offer and you keep wasting precious seconds of my life."
That's trolling. Fuck you. You know nothing about me, and because I disagree about the degree to which you should clench your buttocks as you peck away at your keyboard about a piece of plastic, you feel the need to insult my masculinity?

So feminism is about belittling men when people don't agree with you? Especially, it seems belittling men's sexuality. We already live in a culture that systematically mutilates the genitals of 50% of male babies, leaving (rightly so) all the women intact, and you feel the need to insult a stranger about sexual dysfunction? I was at an art gallery, and the artist had chosen to paint people of all sizes, and woman standing next to me laughed about how tiny this fat man's dick must be, and stated she didn't want to see that crap. I thought that maybe if it EVER occurred to me to laugh about how stinky a fat woman's vagina must be, it would bother any feminists in range.

I know saying this means nothing, but I'm one of the least sexist people you will meet. I also grew up in the fucking desert talking to nobody, so my perspective on trivial bullshit might be different from yours. But people just don't give a shit about being polite. They care about their tiny political agenda, and when they feel it being threatened, they result to monkey-brained shit-flinging.

Re: C'mon Hillary!! There's nothing offensive about it whatsoever. Look:

"If victory came ... because women voters ultimately saw in her, exhausted and near defeat, a countenance that mirrored their own ... then ... I hate even more that they’ve got to see a strong, smart and savvy woman cut down to size before they can embrace her as one of their own"

Isn't that something you'd say?

Re: Actual Headline

I still think the 50-foot vagina-american picture is photographically, a good picture. I mean, go the fuck ahead and cry sexism repeatedly and often about cultural contexts of statements, but this thing is about symbolism. The problem with symbolism is that it's highly subjective, and I think goats run the fucking newspapers. Goats are pretty stupid, is my point.

So since the symbolism of an excellent photograph could be interpreted as sexist, it IS sexist? You know what they call people who interpret everything symbolically based on their own internal whim? Paranoid schizophrenics. I actually have one that thinks I implanted a chip in his brain, and am beaming sexual images of myself into his head 24/7:
http://everywinningopinion....

Re: Q: What's the going rate for indisputably proving to the world that you are a tiny little man who is profoundly afraid of women?

"Doesn't that just say it all, right there?"
Feminists and the Hillary Protection Squad seem to think that there's only one way to interpret things, and having a brain which interprets things differently makes you a lesser being, namely a misogynist. Pretty ironic, given their claims.

Good on all you for name-calling. You're a real credit to your cause.

I don't think some dickwad making a buck off some stupid stereotype is worth getting bent out of shape for an extended period of time. For something to be financially viable, you don't have to sell it to a large portion of the population. Additionally, there are paraphernalia collectors, Clinton collectors, nutcracker collectors, and--of course--misogynists.

Great Gag Gifts? CBS NEWS ATTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!
http://www.cbsnews.com/stor...

Given that there is sexual tension between men and women, and part of the male anatomy, fyi, is referred to as nuts, I think that it's pretty silly to expect that a large portion of the population wouldn't eventually think that someone who had been particularly cruel to them was a nutcracker. Now, I normally wouldn't make the leap and make a doll out of HIllary to capitalize on a stereotype. However, there are a bunch of women (and I'm sure some men) running around shouting LOOK! LOOK! A NUTCRACKER OF HILLARY! SEXISM IS EVERYWHERE I LOOK!

Maybe if you didn't carry it around with you, you wouldn't see it everywhere. Maybe if you didn't repeat some childish person's stupid idea (the Hillary nutcracker. it used to say childish man's, but I realized that was sexist, then I realized when I made it equal-opportunity, you might think I was criticize feminism in general), it wouldn't permeate the culture. I mean, I've looked at maybe 20 of 94 things on the Hillary sexism watch, and the nutcracker is certainly among the most egregious, except:

It's some stupid asshole who lives with his or her mother trying to make a quick buck. All I'm saying is it really really seems like you all are allowing yourselves to be bested intellectually by a loser.

Re: For the Record

I personally think that more news should have been made of Bush maintaining that the presidency was "hard work" during the debates with Kerry.

And Clinton DID choke up.
