With virtually no media support and starting from scratch, Twitter users picked up on this story and adopted the cause to the tune of millions of tweets -- to the point where media pressure on elected officials resulted in movement and rock band Nine Inch Nails and Twitter user Trent Reznor became huge fundraising contributors. I like dogs as much as anyone else and $500 is, well, $500, but I'm not sure how you whiffed on this one, Ben. Hmm, U.S. Healthcare reform, Nine Inch Nails, $700K, a man's life at stake.
