That was a great letter! I tell you, you are in store for a whole new world of fatherhood- just from personal experience and all. Your son is at a great age to become a big brother. Our daughter was 2.5 years old when little peanut was born- and she is so loving to him. We read to our daughter a book called I'm Going to Be a Big Sister, which helped explain the upcoming responsibilities, and what was going to happen while "the baby" was being born. Yes, thank goodness for the magic eraser! Just when you think you can trust them to color our of the high chair, they teach you that there is still some learning to be done.

That's a cool program. We have something like that at our hospital, where the books are donated and the kids are not expected to bring them back. It helps out for those families who are not able to get to a library often due to multiple appointments, etc. Its a great way to foster reading!

It sounds like Mr. Weasel and I have a lot in common. My wife also would say that I have "fads" that are my own. I have even thought of going down the road of composting- and did get some resistance from my wife, so it has not manifested itself in our backyard.

Hey PJ! Yeah, I remember having the same issues with the first time our daughter went to the nursery at our church (and when I think about it, it wasn't that long ago that we went through that with our son too). It's unnerving leaving your child anywhere. It only reminds us that we they keep growing- whether we are ready for it or not.
