I tell you, you are in store for a whole new world of fatherhood- just from personal experience and all. Your son is at a great age to become a big brother. Our daughter was 2.5 years old when little peanut was born- and she is so loving to him. We read to our daughter a book called I'm Going to Be a Big Sister, which helped explain the upcoming responsibilities, and what was going to happen while "the baby" was being born. The big brother version of the book can be found at Amazon. We have something like that at our hospital, where the books are donated and the kids are not expected to bring them back. It helps out for those families who are not able to get to a library often due to multiple appointments, etc. Its a great way to foster reading!

Re: Mothers Day gift idea?

That actually made me laugh- and not just to LOL text-ease. Yeah, I remember having the same issues with the first time our daughter went to the nursery at our church (and when I think about it, it wasn't that long ago that we went through that with our son too). It's unnerving leaving your child anywhere. It only reminds us that we they keep growing- whether we are ready for it or not.
