Right now I live in Corpus Christi, which has about 350,000 people. I'm not sure what you call that. To me it feels like a suburb not a city.

I want to move NYC and DC for the career opportunities mainly.

Agreed. It is stupid to write the obit for either party. We have only two parties in America. A party might stay down for a while but they will bounce back. It's inevitable.

I also think we are living through politically divisive times. It's easy for a party or ideology to bounce back when the country is split.

You basically got the jest of what I was trying to say. I wanted to put up the videos and say as little as possible so people can compare and contrast for themselves. But you got it. I find it odd the Daily Show treats Bush and Cheney as these "dark" and evil forces but Ahmadinejad is simply called "insane" or juxtaposed to a comically evil character Mini-Me, who never really poses a serious threat. So the only thing I can offer from that is that the folks at the Daily Show believe Bush and Cheney are truly evil people and a threat but Ahmadinejad is no serious threat.

Oh come on! You are not really going to argue that Andrew Sullivan and Perez Hilton are some type of conservatives? That is laughable. I'll admit that Sullivan agrees with conservatives in one or two issues but it stops there. For the most part he overwhelming agrees with the left.

I am a Christian. However, my stance on gay marriage has very little to do with my Christian faith. Keep in mind there are Christians on both sides of the issue. My Christian faith says adultery is a sin and we have not made adultery illegal.

To me the issue is the redefining of marriage. We have plenty of legal restrictions on marriage. Remember gay marriage is not the only restriction we have on marriage by long shot. I don't want to tear down these restrictions because it makes me feel good and tolerant. I also don't want marriage being named a "Constitution right" for heterosexuals or homosexuals. Marriage is NOT a Constitutional or civil right and shouldn't be labeled that.

I think we should keep marriage between a man and a woman. If we redefine marriage we will have to include other groups too not just homosexuals.

I miss President Bush already. I'm so glad he is longer is part of the ugliness of D.C. It's funny how people continually called him "divisive" but he showed such class and graciousness in his final days in the Oval Office. I wish our new president the best. I hope he is like his predecessor in that he follows what is right and not opinion polls.
