I have a few of their ZigBee devices in my Home Assistant setup. So far I'm pretty satisfied with them. Certainly the contactsensor is super tiny and detects super fast.
The Aqara Cube T1 is also a fun toy to add to your setup.

No afaik it does not use Google. It might use Bing or something, I'm not sure.
I think startpage.com uses Google as it's backend.

Literally 5 minutes ago? I started using DuckDuckGo as my main search engine around 5 years ago and while it takes some getting used to in the beginning, I have never looked back

Yes it seems you do it the other way around. My directories were outside my Dropbox (some even on another partition) and I had symlinks inside my Dropbox to those directories outside Dropbox. This worked fine for many years, as Dropbox simply followed the symlinks. Until Dropbox decided it would sync the symlinks as files itself instead of follow them.

I have been a paying Dropbox user for 7 years. I used symlinks on Linux to sync folders outside the main dropbox folder. That was until the end of 2019, when they decided it was a good idea to brake symlink support and make that workflow impossible..
I moved everything to pCloud,which supports multiple folders out of the box and as a bonus is cheaper.I have not looked back...

DroidVim. Hands down. Certainly when you have a keyboard available but even without a keyboard.
