The DNRD site just keeps saying "processed". It's been over week and I'm just not sure why it's taking so long.

Thank you for getting back to me obaid. Hope you enjoy with your family!

Re: Procedure to Apply for E-Visa of UAE (Dubai) for GCC Residents

Does anyone know if any tourist visas for Dubai are being issued this week? Also is it a system that issues these or a person/embassy?

I'm wondering if visas will only be issued until 17th? Very nervous and rather disappointed about all the money that is being spent.

Anyone know the answer?

Re: Procedure to Apply for E-Visa of UAE (Dubai) for GCC Residents

Hi Sandeep, has anyone answered your question. I am wondering the same question if no visas will be issued this week. It is such a waste of money!

Re: mumbai memories #3, #4, #5, #6, etc...

Hey Jonathan!

I have been really busy...but as soon as I turn around, you landed up going to Bombay (Mumbai). Mumbai is spectacular in my opinion and although, I was born and raised in Delhi, nothing comes close to Mumbai. I have an affinity to this place ;)

Regardless, your website looks awesome and your Hindi most definitely is better than mine at this stage since you can now converse with the autowalas and understand what they actually say.

When I was a lot younger, auto strikes or some type of transportation strike was the standard norm at least once a year. Buses, in my opinion have always looked like that during the peak hour (but I guess it also depends on where you live)…and that's why you would never catch me dead in one of those buses, not to mention the creepers lurking on every last one of those buses…lol! So beware!

Also, you were in Delhi during the kite festival! I have never had the fortune to be present in Delhi during this festival (accept for maybe one year when my memory was to young to serve me any good now). I hope you got an opportunity to actually fly one of these beautiful kites and were able to cut your opponents kite and then experience running across town to claim it (rather, finding it before someone else claimed it on your behalf) :)

I hope that you have been enjoying your self thus far (it certainly looks it!) and I hope you continue to do so.

Best wises,
Carol

Re: jonathan/ferguson - thought i’d highlight some of the coolest shops...

Oh wow....this is in India? Wow...things have changed since I left :)

Re: home sweat home

Welcome back! I just caught up with what happened during your trip--it is rather saddening. But at least itunes was gracious enough to open up all your previous purchases :) Hope you settle in well.

PS: You look great in a suit by the way!

Re: jonathan/ferguson - hindi in rapid motion. the original recording has...

I just came across your blog and absolutely love it! You are in India, while I am in New York City. I cant quite figure out why you left Chicago to go to India (accept for the fact that you might have found an internship there). Regardless, I am from New Delhi and left India five years ago to come to America to pursue my higher education--just completed my undergrad a year ago and now work at a law firm--a hopeful law school candidate in transition. I have been dying just to get one glimpse of Delhi since I haven't budged from NY for the last five years (don't ask…I am trying to chase a dream, or rather in the process of building and making something out of my self!). Reading and seeing familiar pictures of Delhi and India on your blog, although nostalgic, make me so happy. In fact your explanations and reasoning behind what you find different between American culture and Indian culture are fantastic! Thank you for doing this :)

BY the way your hind is actually better than mine if that is of any conciliation!
