I am totally against this sort of thing - Free Speech is a huge principle! A knee jerk reaction - that looks like more "state control" - agreed somethings should never be done..its like stopping the printing presses n earlier days because they didn't like the manifestos or bibles we produced !!

Kicking social media - It is a quick fix - kick the cat type of response - makes you feel better but does no real good. Its so not looking at the underlying issues!

Great service - Similarly, I stayed in Florida and was about to check out of the Holiday Inn the team on the desk asked me where I was going to - I said another hotel as I though the Inn was full.

They found out about my future plans and took me in for the whole conference. Great service (not usual in the UK!!)

I think developing a strong NO is great
I spoke on that a bit today at creative brkfst.

A NO defines a brand better than saying yes.
A good place to start is by defining who is not your customer!
Then define who is your customer.

NO you are not my type of customer.

Boundaries I suppose !!

Exactly, he exercised his will to sort out some defects in his character that would enable him to become a man and great leader -

One of his decisions involved finding some manly adventure ! Which helped iron out some of these negative childhood experiences.

You can learn it if you want !! The US President Teddy Roosevelt described his childhood experiences in a 1903 letter, writing:

"As far as I can remember they were absolutely commonplace. I was a rather sickly, rather timid little boy"

He decided on some strenuous activity in order to learn how to become a man. One that involved becoming a cowboy / good hunter. I think that he went through all the stages to become a great sage!!

Great to see your heart on this issue and how rightly concerned you are about Plymouths Self Perception.

I do not know the "ins" and "outs" of this issue- But I agree with the premise that I am sure Plymouth does not value it self as much as it should (as opposed to Tavistock where I am from). It is worthy of a further debate or perhaps a face-to-face forum to discuss it.

One thing I do know if "value" and "belief" do not come from within Plymouth I doubt it will come from outside... for that is a rare thing...

Sounds very interesting ! I was talking with Pastor Sam last night - He mentioned about fishing also in relation to business and evangelism. It seems many people in the church have lost the ability to fish for business (and or evanglism). Fishing involves revealing the heart of God to people you are with. For me this could be me revealing his love, his power, his wildness, his wisdom, his creativity, his loyalty, his favour.
This also involves trust - does the fish see the hook ? the line ? No he trusts...
When we stop doing that we stop fishing - stop revealing the heart of God ? We cant get the coin out of the fishes mouth ! Thats where Jesus told his buddy to go and get the HM Revenue & Customs tax bill from!! Perhaps thats why so many people in the church aint got no coins !! ;-)

Thanks for this I first saw this video at the recent "He saved the day men's conference"
It really touched me how he could reach all those girls and kids who struggle with issues of confidence and self image - I could see this in the eyes of the audience. Great. He is a diamond !

I like to start projects (like you Robin) so I build a team around me to maintain !!
Aimee is great at keeping our office running smoothly!

At home Lea is great "finisher-completer!" if she starts it she will finish it!

I build teams around my strengths - ie to cover my weaknesses so I can make my strengths even better!
