I've recently been using the OpenSource mapbox.com and I like it a lot. Much more pleasing to use both in terms of UI and in terms of aesthetic output.

Wherever possible I think it's better that we don't concentrate all our eggs in one basket, and when a company decides to drop its enthusiastically bandied around 'don't be evil' spin one can't help feeling an Orwellian reversal is on the way any day now...

hey hey mr p_g... no offence taken whatsoever. after all birds of a feather and all that.

my commiserations on mrs p_g's recent redundancy, livng in london i fear its all too easy to take the relative prosperity that surrounds me as a state of the nation. i dont know anyone here whose having too hard a time of it and yet im reminded of the 80s and how living up north was akin to living in another country, excluded from the pond and indeed the muddy banks that surrounded it. i guess the thing i do return to is the number of millionaires in the cabinet and the public school educated nature of our political class and how they fail to reflect the aspirations of the majority.

anyway, not sure of this is yr kind of thing but this:
