Reviews of closed betas always frustrate me. If you have a new service, open it up to feedback. Often like Twitter, you're not going to be completely sure what how your service is going to be used until people start using it. Twitter is still finding out.

Re: Blog Stars

Seems to me, Louis Gray has to be on such a list, I think he's a star and has a community, also MG Siegler either in his day job at TechCrunch or even just as his own ParisLemon personna. I can see leaving off Gruber because he doesn't allow comments on DaringFireball.

Re: A little gut has become okay, so sez NYT

BTW, Slate magazine calls BS on bellies, as a fake trend. http://www.slate.com/id/222...

Re: How to connect Google Reader and Evernote

Thanks for that idea. If you're using a Mac and Safari, you can also send pages to Evernote as PDFs with a cntl+click, maintaining the same "look" they had online and still searchable.

Re: Does Anyone Use Chrome?

I posted a similar analysis of 3 blogs that I had access to for statistics and found that for my tech/productivity blog, Enquiring Mimes, Chrome had an almost 25% share.

Pointer to blog entry
http://enquiringmimes.com/w...

Re: Opera Unite opens up so many possibilities

The Register gets snarky about Opera Unite. To be accurate, you can't use your old 3rd party earbuds. There will be new earbuds available especially for the new shuffle, like this one: http://www.engadget.com/200...

Re: How do I really spend my day?

Using ManicTime is fascinating. Goodness knows that's what the world needs.

Also, in a more useful vein, they've updated the mobile Gmail client on Blackberrys so that you can compose messages in Gmail even if you're in a no coverage area.
