That is what I assumed was the likely sequence. I'd love to hear of more nuances that could be applied to existing material, album releases, etc. But I have seen the "making of the album into an event" approach work to great effect. I am a mentor with Score in the USA and have several clients who are musicians, so any discussion along these lines would be welcomed so perhaps I can guide them better.

I do recommend PLF to many, many of my Score clients as an ancillary marketing tool to their primary product line and know that, for some, their launch materials could lead the way to becoming their main product line over time.

Hello everyone! I am Terry and am on the east coast of North Carolina, USA in the quiet and lovely little town of Elizabeth City. Well, you definitely know how to surprise me, and perhaps even more surprisingly, I have come recently to the exact same conclusions. Plus, Reaper effortlessly supports some esoteric features like Ambisonics Surround (messing with the free Core plugins now - http://www.blueripplesound.... ).

I will still use my Samplitude Pro X3 Studio features, Sound Forge and Spectralayers' tight integration for cleanup work, and likely Cakewalk Platinum when I need the Melodyne ARA features to work correctly, and DP 9.13 will sadly go to the "rarely used" department. Motunation has been a terrific resource and I'll still lurk there and post once in a while, but it is time to acquaint myself with this Reaper community you speak so glowingly about!

This collection really does make the Korg Legacy Collection into a genuine powerhouse! Being able to browse by tags to try out all the variations on a sonic theme is so inspiring! (And all right from the keyboard if you have the keyboard set to browse in Preferences/Hardware.) What a great service you are providing, Jason -- you're doing nothing less than "spreading happiness"!

Pretty hilarious article after reading the "Cool Stuff" posts - unfortunately, that "cool stuff" barely compensates for all the headaches!

I have pretty limited use cases for DP at the moment, using Samplitude Pro X3 Suite primarily. Sometimes the ever-improving Cakewalk Sonar Platinum (which has definitely evolved!) I should give a fresh look to Cubase!

BTW - you could add the Bundles headache that DP grabs up all the MIDI ports and leaves none free (for a program like MidiQuest to use, for instance - I'm used to having choice), and causes tracks trying to use Native Instrument's Komplete Kontrol keyboards to HAVE to use multi-record to get around the fact that the Komplete-Kontrol DAW port is impossible to keep out of the way in Single Record (causing what is similar to a MIDI feedback loop...) -- no other DAW does this.

I hope DP gets stuff fixed - it is such a promising DAW, and does many things MUCH better than others do (esp. large templates...)

I've been a huge fan of ExpressionEngine and an active developer with it since 2006.

I love the if/then possibilities, the relationship and reverse-relationship tools, the easy URL segment implementations and friendly URLs, and the ability to use embedded templates to recycle code. And the custom fields and back-end form design tools are fantastic!

You DO need to know your CSS, as there are no CSS design tools in here, but for anything database-driven, I can pull data out and display it in accordance with a bunch of criteria without ever touching any custom SQL calls (though that is possible as well).

For anyone using it on a data-centric web asset (like http://ncwildflower.org) or a large newspaper-style site (like http://ruralintelligence.com), it is really terrific! (Those are two of my clients.)

Due to the flexibility of the entry-form designs you can bring into play, authors and data-entry folks alike can be given a customized experience that is entirely unintimidating,

Dome Builder - I hate to disappoint you, but "Free Energy" does not exist - at least technology to tap into it and convert it to what we need - electricity - does not yet exist. There have been many bogus and disproved claims and many unfulfilled promises over the years, but true "Free Energy" has never been accomplished. There are some good energy-cell technologies, but they are not "Free Energy" as they have fuel sources. LK- the "Cher" effect you describe - called "quantizing" - is a digital effect. The Eureka is a fully analog preamp, and cannot do that sort of thing, so I'm not sure what could be happening other than something you have set up in your recording software.

Fascinating throughout, though I'd hoped for some definitive takeaway where one of the positions truly showed its power as a sibilance killer! It was very surprising to see that the 1-foot versions were the worst for the sibilance. 8 inches seems to be a good compromise, with perhaps a body turn of 20 degrees (I wished that I'd heard that version!)
