How bout it Jack, did you watch the entire thing and do nothing yourself?! Were the guys you say were walking the first ones there? Is it possible the got notified by radio that there was nothing they could do? Come on Jack, finish the lie. And the water is way more than 25 yards from the road there isn't it? Not that any of this has anything to do with the article, as usual!

I think you're confusing firefighters with convicts. Why just firefighters? If every resident donated a little time you wouldn't even need a DPW. With the money saved you could give the firefighters a huge raise.

I agree that the demands of the job require a certain degree of fitness. Many firefighters are in excellent shape though. I think Jack makes up most of what he posts. Him crazy.

If I was there and no rescuers were, yes, I would attempt a rescue if it were safe to do so.
