I suppose the would be medical exceptions but if people would rely more on natural mid-wives rather medically induced births you would see a lot loss complications to begin with.

Taking Charge
of Your Fertility

http://www.tcoyf.com/

"The Fertility Awareness Method as a means of natural pregnancy achievement and avoidance as well as basic gynecological health."

Yep, its been working just fine for my wife and I. They should probably consider teaching it in schools.

Just throwing this into the topic since it should help people who don't want to get pregnant in the first place if they really don't want to. Thus eventually making abortion issue obsolete, as less and less people wouldn't even begin to consider such a thing given all the more responsible methods available to date. Wouldn't people prefer to be in control of where and when they want to have a baby ? as in REAL "emancipation"?

It should be no difficulty for anyone to become pro-life knowing that it really isn't all that difficult after all to avoid pregnancy if they so choose. Abortion itself should always be viewed as a tragic event... never a "stress" relieving one.

Re: Ironic press release of the day

terry1,

What you never seem to get is that each policy has various aspects to them that can be from multiple sides of the spectrum while on different planes (or panes? idk the word.).
Including the degrees of intensity.

For example, one policy may be more economically Conservative while more socially Libertarian or even Liberal.

Or another may be more Populist in its agenda/expediency but more Libertarian in its actual implementation.

I may be more Socially Conservative with some aspects of an issue (personally) but when it comes to how that issue effects others, I may be more Libertarian.

Thats how centrist parties work usually regardless of wether they have more Left or Right preferences so long as those preferences are moderate or the fringe bits are only at a personal level and never meant for any implementation. As all perspectives ought to be voiced but not necessarily acted upon.

They're not solely making their decisions solely based off of their own personal ideology or set of living principles, but are taking into consideration the perspectives of others and how things will ripple affect both for and against various groups, sectors or individuals. Get it?

That isn't to say they are fence sitters but that they don't allow themselves to be pushed around by popular thought or group think and decide to go against the grain (sometimes even within themselves) for the sake of what is rational and right. [no pun intended]

As it stands. The Conservative Party of Canada is a centrist party made up of mostly moderates from all sides of their side of the political spectrum including varying degrees of Populism and Libertarianism's. For example, It is also possible to be a moderate Conservative and have some mild left-leaning principles or policy ideas so long as they aren't radical.

That isn't to say someone can't have radical ideas or bold new concepts for dealing with a given situation but that they can't try to expect those such ideas to be implemented without a full and open debate on the subject so that all possibilities are thought out and alternate ideas and perspectives are churned out properly. With a companying constructively critiques back and forth and so on.

P.S>

The BRITISH NATIONALIST PARTY is a LEFT WING PARTY despite having some RADICAL RIGHT WING SOCIAL POLICIES/ASPECTS WEDDED INTO THEIR PLATFORM and etc.*

Being a right-wing party doesn't automatically associate you with all things bad on that side of the political spectrum as certain groups from other sides would lead people to believe.

The right way to deal with parties like that is through meaningful and constructive debate rather then simply brow beating them to death with placards and anti-racism slogans.

Which is rather simplistic and mindless and does little to turn the they disagree with away from racist or discriminatory thinking or actions. Just makes them feel persecuted for their thoughts especially when they aren't even permitted the HUMAN RIGHT to explain their case, be it right or wrong they should still be aloud to speak and we should FREELY not mindlessly be allowed to disagree with them and hopefully be able to correct them where they are wrong in the process.

People shouldn't use populist tactics to dumb down the debate as some left-wing front groups over there are purposely doing so that people won't realize just how similar they are in most other policies to their own favored politicians and/or parties they support.

It's like the politically correct closet racists shouting down and out the more openly racist rather then actually dealing with the issue in a civil and sensible manner. Especially in Britain of all places, the birthplace of modern civility.
[Despite some of their problems or history {like any nation}, there are primes and aspects of their culture that define it as such, even still.]

*by the way, I hadn't fully looked into wether the BNP were actually racist/discriminatory or wether they just saw themselves as pro-british citizen**, but rather have carelessly relied on second hand information.

That being the case shouldn't take away from the point I was making on how to go about addressing such things properly.

** Pro-British citizen in the sense that they put preference of their taxpaying citizenry over that or nationals from other countries who immigrate there with intention of imposing their cultural beliefs on others who otherwise prefer to live according to their own free will. ***

*** Not sure if they meant it like that either. I'll have to look into that.

Re: Ironic press release of the day

“This finding strengthens the case for bringing Mr. Khadr home and calls for stronger government oversight on how CSIS conducts its business.”

CSIS is our intelligence agency.... what they did does not require a knee-jerk over-reaction of placing new government oversight(s).... especially if implemented by anyone involved with the Liberal Party.

Not only that, but as soon as you let the bleeding hearts over politicize CSIS and demand for such things-- the sooner our country's capacity to protect itself becomes hindered and all the more vulnerable.

Re: So, we’re conservatives and we didn’t like the budget. Why put the idea into someone's head that it could be either or?
When a person has so many options now-a-days to individualize what it is they put on... yet the people who ware those generally have the same-yet varied reasons/opinions on the subject--thus exposing they lack of actual individuality or sense of political diplomacy.

Giving off the impression "Look at me! I'm being BOLD."...

as someone else who is wearing the same thing in effect says "you're and individualist? me too" in reply, while at the same time saying to others "I may or may not be sending the wrong messages to others", "fashion first! ? what does that mean?" and translates to (some) Palestinian groups: "free Palestine" representing Palestinian nationalism or in some cases Militantism.

How a person chooses to present themselves in public does hold more meaning then what some may think.
You can't just say its just a article of clothing when you know it holds some sort of political meaning behind it.
Then it becomes a statement. In such cases, its good to wait until the issue surrounding something is long resolved and the attached symbolisms have lost their meaning.

So its not so much about being "Bold" as it is about being "Ignorant" or even inconsiderate.

(For the record, I've never picked sides in the middle-eastern debate other then the sides that promote moderate and open discussion to encourage progressive steps toward a meaningful peace without the use of violence from either side. Impossible situation? Nope. Just too many angry/ignorant people not thinking straight. Watch someone like Obama head over there offering everyone a piece of yummy pie and that'll be the end of it. I'm not being serious but hopefully people catch my drift.)

Re: Obama takes early lead

Hmm, very interesting.

I'll be sure to read up on it.

Thanks.

Re: Obama takes early lead

I hope he takes it. But thats all speculative, though not outside the realm of possibility or truth.

I don't think the 'corpocracy' likes the Conservatives anymore since they moved much closer Center while at the same time cut the necessary deals to push such groups back from over asserting themselves.
Especially when they've made so much progress infiltrating the more established "Liberal" party of our country while at the same time having some of the MSM in their pockets.

If our country went into the sort of problems the rest of the world is in than things would be easier for them to sweep in down the road and capitalize on our chaos and that of the global situation.

But since we happen to have a more prudent and accountable federal government than other countries, they must feel threatened that democracy may actually work here, hence--their forcefulness to prove this wrong by trying to misinform and spread 'propagandic' (new word according to me) lies to try everything they could to see if their right.

Obviously if they are successful they will be convinced that people are incapable of governing over themselves through democracy and thus begin to further subvert things until they can assert themselves openly as the world's
"new" world power or "NWO".

That is... if you believe this sort of stuff.

Personally, I feel they would only be making things worse for everyone and themselves as oppression diminishes innovation and the speed of which technological advancements take place. Especially in comparison to how they would under a free form and diverse global environment rich with culture and constantly "evolving" ideas.

There are somethings that have to happen in real time that a simulator can't reproduce nor can even the most imaginative mind as not every aspect, variable or element can be taken into account in its raw instance that usually has to first be observed before it can be duplicated or calculated.

Else-wise, everything is theoretical and untested, rather then practical.

If your lost on any of this, relax, I'm on top of it and no doubt others have caught on too and are making a difference.

I'm sure given what I know that if I can come up with better and more sophisticated ideas to indirectly force such a 'corpacracy' away from establishing themselves any further than they already seem to have done through the U.N. and else where. (if anyone has even bothered to notice?)

Maybe its all just my wild imagination getting the best of me.
Either way I'm not too worried as it is not hard to come up with solutions to instances of that sort.
It involves the capacity to work with your perceived enemies to the benefit of the greater good for all groups which brings us back to the oppositions parties in abilities to do so.... maybe thats why they are so well liked by the wrong people ("NWO") as they make our current government less capable of accomplishing the things needed to avoid the problematic situations that are happening in the states and elsewhere.

If they want to prove me wrong they can start by stopping their constant use of outright lies and deceptful/misleading behaviors and actions and also prove that they are able to finally get their act together by working with the government rather then against it... Which all indicators and even their own words show that they can't and are unwilling... which is yet another reason why we need a Conservative majority as they have proven themselves to be the most resistant to needless partisanship and corporate/vested/special interests that plague all other governments.

"How can you be sure?"

Any group that relies on a constant flow of lies and non-factual information while the MSM paves the way by propping them up while entirely excusing every error while nagging on every little thing the governing party says or does without providing the electorate with an unbiased or balanced perspective of all parties.

Anyone notice how brief they make the PM speeches while at the same time cutting down everything that is said and using a narrator to sum things up with a subliminally negative tone?

Something is going on and the general public are completely oblivious to it while everyone else joins the mindless anti-harper/conservative bandwagon while at the same time allowing themselves to play into the hands of the very sorts of corporate/vested/shadowy/special interest they all claim to despise.

"The tragedy in the unbalanced presentation of issues in the media is that so many Canadians will hear an issue like this in the wind and will not question the validity of it for themselves.
It is astonishing how many simply parrott the "he scares me" type of rhetoric being presented by left leaning media outlets but cannot explain it themselves when pressed.
Now THATS scary.
Reminds me of the 97 campaign when the liberals paraded around as the champions of health care after cutting health care & education transfer payments to the provinces by 40% between 1995 to 1997.
The media forget to tell us that bit." ~ someone I've been quoting relentlessly after experiencing the same shit on an even larger scale. (I live in TO if that explains anything)

Main while, who is the first to always dismiss or discount anything I say? Liberals.
Always Liberal supporters.

That should tell you something...

wether anyone believes me or not, I beginning to care less since I'll be alright in the long run no matter what happens. sounds far fetched but is far more likely the case then what others have proposed on the Left and at least I provide/have solutions to the various problems and possible/hypothetical situations I bring up.

but blah blah blah, draw up your own conclusions.
Watch the latest Zeitgeist movie to see what I'm on about, not that agree with what it says as half of the things they bring up is off/inaccurate. They go overboard with some of what they say and the rest doesn't apply to how things are up here but at least they promote technology. I don't know, take a look at it for yourself, just remember to take some of what is said with a grain of salt...

http://www.youtube.com/watc...

http://video.google.com/vid...

...and be prepared for some over the top new-agey lameness and complete lack of sophistication rather typical of most things american. Never the less, the goal is to get people thinking out side of themselves and their own entrenched perspectives.

Not everything I say is gonna be 100% right or accurate as I am still taking in a near-constant flow of information through multiple means while I research into things.
And it so happens, I'm way ahead of both of you on this.

"Taylor cutowrth is on every blog in town withhis attack ad garbage." ~Terry

I've been starting to see these sorts of dismissive remarks about me else where and its always from the Liberal supporters, so I must be getting closer to the truth as its looking rather organized.
They get like this when they can't explain their positions or reasoning they resort to attacking.

Not much different to how the "Liberals" are like when in the HOC and committees...

I bet some of you are part of their campaigners or the even some MPs family members as such things have been suggested before.

like Gayle for instance and others, but I don't wish to speculate any further at this time.

No doubt, there are others reading this who know what I mean...

Re: The shadowboxing opposition

It's hilarious.

I just recently heard an NDP candidate phrase something along the lines of "another eight years of Conservative or Liberal rule" .

8 years of Conservative rule?

Someone has been watching too much american news...
I also wonder how many young people are voting based off what is going on down south of the border rather then here?

What good is a democracy when no one bothers to even know who they're voting for?

I've been directing people to CPAC to get an unbiased view of things and to consider basing their votes off of the individual Candidates.

http://www.cpac.ca/forms/in...

But really, Stephen Harper and the Conservatives have proven themselves to be the safest choice.

I'm hoping for the MSM to finally start to catch on this fact before it is too late.

http://www.theglobeandmail....

At least some have already, even the editors of Maclean's have said something similar to this in there latest mag, but with lesser details.

The dip in the polls may also have something to do with the knee jerk reaction to the latest Zeitgeist movie thats been released.

Which is kind of silly since most of what is said doesn't apply to how things work up here.
Especially since the Conservatives brought in those measures to keep big money from influencing our democracy.

Heres the link:

http://video.google.com/vid...

It goes a bit over the deep end on some things and gives off a cheesy 'new-agey' vibe in its production values but there are some important bits of truth in it.

I have my criticisms, but not all of what they state is exactly theory either.
I don't know, I feel too many of the "young in's" up here may take what is said from this video the wrong way and end up voting against the Conservatives blindly without putting things fully in perspective.

Especially since things up here are so entirely different and that the Conservatives are the ones who have been working in the interest of the people and resisting much of the arm turning the "shadowy corporate/special/vested interests" thats been thrown at them. And are the only ones with the sensible bargaining power to continue to do so by knowing how to make the right compromises.

Since the parties have proven there unwillingness to work across party lines to accomplish things then people should be changing things up by either voting in new/moderate parties rather then what is currently in opposition.

The opposition parties don't deserve more power and anyone who has been paying attention or watching CPAC over the years knows that.

This Zeitgeist thing true or not is not the be all and end all to everything, but nor should it be entirely discounted either.
I think they may mean well but don't entirely understand the full measure of how things ought to be dealt with.
But I would think if they had supported Ron Paul as some of my friends from the south have, that they would be on the side of the Conservatives up here as well, especially since our situation is entirely different then theirs.

I'm glad they're main argument is against the monetary system rather then any one side of the Left or Right political system of bs... and they promote a resource based economy for the USA which probably makes some level of sense given their country's situation. To suggest the same here may be a bit early or extremely inappropriate, but we'll have to wait and see how things play out. I suspect whatever happens, the U.S. will become more-and-more protectionist for a long while... and perhaps thats for the best to some extent.

Moderates everywhere should remain calm however, and continue to constantly take in more information so as not to be forced into doing anything too drastic out of fear.

That being said, I'm fairly certain they would back most Conservative candidates (if not all) in OUR election if they only knew more about them. While also backing the some of the Libertarian movements/candidates on a case by case basis.

Majority or Minority, what matters is that the Conservatives are allowed to govern their mandate unhinged by any obstructionistic opposition parties. Especially since the Conservatives still have to deal with the "Liberal" dominated Senate.

Anyone who cares to see what else I have to say on the matter can read up on what I've been saying prior to viewing this version of the Zeitgeist, over here:

http://forum.myspace.com/in...

At this crappy/ugly myspace forum.
