I'd like to read this book on Kindle" link on the Amazon page to push for it faster. Of course, the more people who request a Kindle edition means the more likely it is to happen. :)

Re: The Best Resumé Looks Like Leonardo da Vinci’s

She did! But the argument to be made is that the ability to think creatively is independent of your level of intelligence. Those with mental disabilities or mutations, for example, can still show signs of creative thinking, even if they struggle to show signs of typical intelligence. It may not be creativity at a level you or I are capable of, but it is still undoubtedly creativity.

Thanks of reading and sharing your thought David!

Re: The Best Resumé Looks Like Leonardo da Vinci’s

Apart from Leonardo da Vincis (as highlighted in the source article)? It's difficult to find examples of resumes like this online because, well...how often do you post your resume openly online? Additionally, without context, it might not seem very helpful as a resume.

Are you looking for more concrete examples of content to put into this type of resume, or something else?

One thing you can look to for rough examples of what to do (and not do) are company-based portfolio sites/calls-to-action. Like this one for Airbnb: http://www.katielovesairbnb... Or, to somewhat a lesser extent, this one for Google: http://googlepleasehire.me Or this one for Facebook: http://www.facebookshouldhi...

These aren't the *best* examples, but they demonstrate how the impact of aligning your resume goals with the business goals can help you stand out in a crowded market. Hope that helps at least a little, thanks for the comment.

Re: Every idea starts messy, keep moving

Glad I could help!

Re: More Important Than Having a High IQ is Having “ICE”

Please do!

Re: More Important Than Having a High IQ is Having “ICE”

Great question Adam. There are a number of books I've read that help outline techniques for improving curiosity and empathy both. I'd recommend checking out "Uncertainty" by Jonathan Fields, "A Curious Mind" by Brian Grazer and Charles Fishman, "A More Beautiful Question" by Warren Berger, and "Curious?" by Todd Kashdan.

There are *a lot* of resources online too, of course. A quick Google search shows:

As well as a number of scholarly papers/research articles you can find through Google as well, such as:

Hope that helps jump-start your explorations.

Re: The Creativity Challenge, a new book

Hi Pat, thanks for checking the book out. The point from the sentence you're referencing is simply: "If you can read the words in this article—regardless of what your IQ may be—your creative potential is equal to anyone with an IQ of 100 or above."

I've said nothing in reference to any intelligence score lower than 100, only that those who can read these words have the same CQ as those with average-to-high IQs. The point remains: creativity has *little* to do with intelligence.

I wish I could have made that clearer, thanks for your feedback!

Re: Share inspirational quotes with ease in Snaplight

Thanks for mentioning Snaplight! Many of the best opportunities in my life have come as a result of saying "yes" to things I was barely certain of or only minutely curious in.

Speaking opportunities, new career tracks, a publishing deal, etc. all sprouted not because I felt confident that they would be the best thing for me (whether I was 90% certain or only 1% in that fact). Rather, these opportunities came as a result of being willing to explore the things I wasn't certain about, all in the name of excitement. And so what if many of the opportunities flattened out? I learned a lot in the process of pursuing them, which I would argue is much more valuable than simply pursuing the things I'm most interested in at any given moment or the things that I'm confident can become a reality.

The issue I have with this article primarily stems from the fact many of us don't know what we're capable of until we try. So if you tell someone "Only say yes to things you're 90% certain can really happen" you're cutting people short of their potential.

Re: Overwhelmed? As long as your task is broken down into manageable chunks that you can *see* and manipulate in some fashion, you're more likely to tackle them and build up the momentum you need to complete the larger project or task.
