Question: Who is more fearful, me who is able and willing to defend himself on a daily basis, or Tim who appears to live in daily fear of mass murder and is highly unlikely to be able or willing to protect himself? SO fearful in fact he's willing to eliminate MY right to defend myself in a fruitless attempt to increase his OWN safety?

Consider that we have killed MILLIONS of women and children in an effort to defend the rights you would so casually toss away. We firebombed Tokyo and Dresden, nuked Hiroshima and Nagasaki, carpet bombed countless miles of Europe, Korea and Vietnam... AND millions of our own have died in the efforts as well... yet we throw away what they have bought and paid for because somebody misused that right? Because a few dozen MORE people died? Is it suddenly worse because they were our OWN children? What incredible hypocrisy is that? Using that logic we should have thrown down our weapons in 1812 and become part of England again, because nobody should die or be killed for rights. They aren't THAT important. . We should eliminated the right to vote the moment Obama was elected, because half the country obviously grossly misused it.
