I tried to post this earlier, but my work computer is a pain.

Anyway, any reason to hate Tim Thomas is good enough for me.

I tend to agree with "Fuck the 'president as royalty' jackassery" but I'm also pretty sure this would be a bigger deal if ideologies were reversed.

And, not like you've argued this, but the "But they're all Canadian! Who cares?" is just as stupid. If the PM asked me to visit, I'd visit even though he's a complete fuckface.

I don't know. Maybe I just enjoy having yet another reason for knowing Tim Thomas is a dickbag.

(That Flyers/Bruins game was amazing. [Same with the Rangers/Bruins game actually.] Sooooooo much bullshit, but amazing. Fuck shootouts forever. They don't count in playoffs anymore so why do they still matter during the rest of the season?)

They're all hypocritical fucks. I just think it's stupid giving a rich dude shit for taking advantage of a really fucked up system (or even expecting him not to) instead of giving the system shit for letting him (and everyone else).

I agree 1001% with everything. I still stand by my Oracle BG is more
interesting than Batgirl BG, though. Esp when Babs has to work with/deal
with/whatever the new Batgirls. Like how the Robins have to deal with each
other.

Eh. Personal opinion, certainly not an objective statement. And it's not
like DC's not making other poor decisions at the moment.

Oh I'm not pitying. I'm just frustrated stuff like this keeps happening with
no real result in the general public other than "Oh those crazy evil hackers
just helping one of their own!!!1!" It sounds like this is similar to a lot
of other things I've seen produced on the subject, unfortunately. And with
Frontline's reputation, they probably could have given an outlet to more
exoestablishment voices while remaining credible in the eyes of the general
public.

At least they didn't go with the ANGRY GAY angle which makes me want to
throw things. Or did they?

Not surprised, just disappointed.

Well that's really disappointing. Frontline usually produces good work.

But still, of all the people to hack and fuck with, why PBS? Seems almost
silly and trite at this point to poke sticks at everyone who doesn't fully
support WL and what they do. Why not fuck with ABC News because they had a
segment focusing on Manning's father that was quite awful? Why pick and
choose?

Or Fox because they're just generally terrible? Or bring attention to
Manning's treatment in prison instead of causing general havoc to the one
outlet of (usually) decent journalism in this country other than NPR?

I just don't really get it. I mean, of course I do, but they could be doing
so much more than playing kids' games because they're mad at a poorly
researched program. It announces their disappointment, but not much else.

I am really disappointed that the Frontline segment wasn't well done. Not
the first time it's happened, but more often than not, they're pretty good.
Guess I'll have to watch it so I can bitch properly.

Keeps the rat population downin major cities, I guess. I just really hate

Thank god you're much more articulate than I am. I danced (not ballet, though) from the age of 4 or 5 up until the end of high school (Loyola's "dance" club was kind of a joke and I didn't have time to join a professional one in Chicago), so everything in that article strikes a chord.

And your comments just add to my curiosity about getting into martial arts. Eh, maybe when this thesis is done? Who knows.

It really is breathtakingly beautiful. Our hotel was a bit away from the village itself, high on the mountaintop with a clear view down the the valley below. I had a few moments up there that I hate to describe as spiritual but I can't think of another word to describe the feeling.
