Posts are currently passed through a filter chain. Filters include rate limiting (5 posts per service per hour) and tag matching. I'll look at adding a filter for the twitter replies to facebook scenario.

We've been focused on baking the "store and forward" infrastructure, so the filter chain has taken a back seat. However, we are starting to work on a new interface that will expose the filter chain. Ideally you will be able to add/remove/configure by switch.

I understand how you feel. However, some services do not provide token based authentication schemes. In the case of Twitter, we need the user/pwd to both post and read (in the case of non-public feeds).
