I can't stand it. They think just a small @reply on twitter or comment back on anything is grounds of friendship and they get possessive. It's the saying they're friends. We should have demanded more, buying all the magazines and CDs of these bands and artist we loved. I have four different CDs of "Return to Saturn" and two vinyls, and that's just one No Doubt album. It's the accessibility that is making it easier for these kids to act this way, even though they shouldn't be able to.

Re: PropertyOfZack Interview : : Kevin Lyman Of The Warped Tour

Yes, but Kevin also knows what good business is. You can't expect an entirely solid lineup on a festival. It's not happening. The amount of money that goes out has to come back in to break even or make a profit and it takes following what's big and hiring just that. I mean, I am not happier than any other old Warped Tour fan that Nevershoutnever is playing and that Katy Perry played in the past. This was always rooted in punk before, from what I used to see, but he's smart in doing what he's doing. He's a great business man.

And just because you dislike the music they like does not make them "f'ing stupid". It means you have different taste. Not everyone likes Every Time I Die or The Dillinger Escape Plan, or even appreciates music as much as others do for that matter. It doesn't make them stupid, it means they have different interest and taste. To say they're "f'ing stupid" is purely ignorant.

Re: Calling All Interns!

Hey Jac,

My name's Sarah, I'm 20, and I live in San Francisco, CA (Well, technically more like Berkeley but San Francisco is the major city closest ;D). I think that I could be of help in the Local Promotions area when it comes to northern california. I'm constantly traveling between Sacramento and San Francisco for various events (Concerts, FIDM shows, art gallerias, etc) and while I've done promotion in the past, I'm currently not dedicated to one company and have that free time to promote. Though, I am a college student, I believe that's only another benefit as college campuses are so untapped with street team promotions nowadays and we have so many in one localized area up here! I will be at the Mountain View warped date June 26, however every year I give my time and energy to volunteering with Keep-A-Breast at the northern dates in honor of the women in my life I've lost to breast cancer. However, I will be at the roadshow in Concord, CA on June 6th as well! I'd love to keep in contact and find a way to promote for you, since I feel all artist should have some support and I love your brand.

Here's my email: evondahlkilledthelocals@gmail.com

If you need even the slightest bit of help at the Roadshow or any event up here, I'm able and willing! :) Hope to hear from you soon!

Re: http://doesawolfshaveitstail.com/post/555037541

Post anything! But other than just the attachment to it, it's got some of the most memorable songs Dashboard's ever put out. Hands Down, A Lovers Go, Bend and Not Break, I Am Missing. Even if you don't like Dashboard, you know Hands Down because it's just THAT good and THAT catchy. While their others may be more musically and lyrically advanced than this album, I feel like this one has more heart than the others do.

MTV Unplugged is just phenomenal. Every single thing about that album makes me so happy and comforted, no matter what is going on in life. While most will argue it's not a real album, you can buy it as such on Amazon and that qualifies it enough for me. I feel like, yeah Dashboard is good on album but you can never truly understand just how amazing and talented these guys are without seeing or hearing them live. Every single tour they do, they never fail to impress me and to have this raw and completely phenomenal album capturing that sound for the world to enjoy just qualifies it for the tied spot of best record by them.

Re: A Homeboy's Life

You'd love this article:
http://www.slate.com/id/222...

"Seeking
How the brain hard-wires us to love Google, Twitter, and texting. That there is more than one right opinion out there and that an opinion is just that, a thought that you possess that isn't necessarily the right one. A lot of allowing children to watch the news and informing them of the broad aspects of the world, keeping them up to date with everything that people tend to try to hide. My father actually used to let me tag-a-long on tour with him when I was younger up and down the west with his friends as he worked for them and that gave me a broader sight of the world. Travel, exposure, and talking to them are three of the best methods in my opinion. Show them cartoons, books, movies, etc as they progress in age from other cultures. It all comes back to imitation with younger children, so make sure to set the example and they pick up on it fast. My brother and sister-in-law are trying to raise my nieces as children of the world as well and they've found that overall just talking to them about it has worked the best. There's an amount of censorship they use, obviously, but they try to keep their children's minds open and to remind them on a daily basis that they are fortunate and blessed to live the way they do, and that they should consider helping others at all chances because of it. It's all repetition and imitation.

Re: band on the hot mess tour

The Audition, Anarbor, or Valencia should be on this.
