I feel this so much. I work in STEM and the no makeup-makeup is the norm here (which is fine if that's what you choose personally) but I have literally had meetings stop because I was wearing red lipstick. Just wearing a bright lipstick gets you labeled as "fashionista" and you can never tell if it's an insult or compliment but either way it's definitely not fashionista-label worthy.

My story is so similar to yours down to the purple eyeshadow and blue tubes of mascara. It was my father who forbid it for me. I did however sneak it in over time. I remember in 6th grade all the girls in the class had those cover girl powder compacts which was an easy thing for me to secretly buy from the grocery store with my allowance and a bike. I only ever bought the translucent type to "dull the shine" and honestly that was the only complexion makeup I wore even through college!

I didn't know Drew Barrymore had a cosmetics line! I'm not too surprised it's called flower. She always reminds me of daises :) Glad you ended up liking it!

Hope you end up loving it (which means your skin will look great!)
I use Clinique b/c it works best for me but I know everyone's skin is different so what works for some might not work for others, etc.
