That... is so frustrating! I love Haloscope but have been noticing some clogged pores on my cheekbones, which is random. Dammit, Glossier... Does anyone have a recommendation for a dewy subtle highlighter that doesn't contain pore-clogging coconut oil? Plzzz

Soooo helpful. Can anyone tell me if the Missha FTE Intensive has enough niacinamide that it would be "bad" to use at the same time as C-Firma?

Some other thoughts on C-Firma (on my second bottle): I read *somewhere* that it's already orange because of some other ingredients, but what troubles me is a vitamin C serum turning orange is the best way to tell if it's oxidized. So if it's already orange, then how can you tell? Is any vitamin C *really* stable, even with big promises and great packaging from DE? Part of me feels like they made it bright orange to begin with so you can't tell if it's gone bad. Anyways, I've stopped using on my face because I got paranoid about using with my Missha FTE Intensive, which I honestly like more, though they do very different things. Maybe I will start using once every three days as you suggest. Also looking to try something new (prob from the DECIEM line) when it's empty!

I use Rescue Spa as well, and its been great. It ships out lightning fast to me in NYC. I used to live in Canada and had to go through the whole call them, get a time-consuming skin consult business, etc. Every. Time. So refreshing to just be able to simply restock on the product without the consultation and the up-selling. Only catch with Rescue Spa is you have to sign up and sign in to see the prices, but that's not a big deal.

Also huge props Caroline for being unafraid to tell the truth! LOL at that commentor saying BR fans are loyal.... if you really cared about the brand, wouldn't you want them to fix their problems and improve? That's precisely what Caroline is doing. Some people are so dense...

I'm wondering this too, Caroline! Is Vit C and niacinamide a truly horrible combo? Do they cancel out each other's effectiveness? I've stopped using my Drunk Elephant C-Firma because I'm worried about this and love my products with niacinamide more. (Also, side note, and I know you covered this a bit in your post on C-Firma, but because it's already orange and you can't tell when or if it's gone bad, I worry that it has about 3/4 through the bottle and get anxious about using it!)

I've been using Revitabrow for 2.5 months and really loving it. Revitalash is next on my list! I absolutely HATE taking off mascara (no matter what I use, I just hate the feeling in general), so I've been rocking a no-mascara look 99% of the time. I'm pretty down with it as it gives off that laid-back French girl vibe (no eye-makeup + either NARS Heat Wave or Tom Ford Bruised Plum is a really strong look, imo).

THAT SAID I am super excited about the possibility of Revitalash giving me longer, fuller lashes so I can continue NOT wearing mascara without giving up a fluttery eye look. Maybe I'll eventually tint them too..... anything I can do to avoid wearing mascara, really haha.

OK so my questions: how long did it take for you to see results? Was it just length or fullness too? Are you on a "maintenance" dose now? xx

#1 best (and new-to-me!) product I bought this year is hands-down BR's Masque Vivant. It actually did practically nothing for me on its own. I kept using it, hoping it would get better but had all but resolved not repurchasing again UNTIL I mixed some baking soda in it. And that has made all the difference—I actually can't believe it the immediate change in my pores. I struggle with stubborn blackheads on and around my nose and this combo literally makes them disappear. Praise.
Other hits include Lina Hanson's Global Face Serum (really an oil), African Botanics Resurrection Cell Recovery Serum, January Labs Moisture Balancing Lotion and (yes) Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser :)

The captions for these pictures are atrocious. A picture of cops being unnecessarily aggressive and knocking over and arresting black women simply holding protest signs or approaching quickly with weapons raised and the caption reads "Police officers work to keep order as demonstrators express their feelings"??? Wow, National Post. Clap clap. You really got it figured out.

Hmmmm I disagree with the fourth-wave part. I think Knox is a product of third-wave feminism. The fourth-wave feminism I subscribe to (and have been rooting for!) bites back against capitalist society and takes a more radical, social justice approach. Knox seems to be part of the third-wave group that embraces capitalism and individualism, along with a host of neoliberal and libertarian ideals like autonomy of the body. Anyways, it was just my understanding and my hope that fourth-wave feminism would not be embodied by Knox and those who share her views.
Anyways, I suppose just because I want feminism to move into that direction with a fourth-wave doesn't mean it's true. Can't say I disagree with anything else in this article; it all needed to be said.

Yep totally obsessed with her, from the first time I saw her act and through all her ups and downs and changes. She is despised by so many people, but when I ask them why, they don't really have much to say. "Too many kids" "Too slutty [and pretending not to be, but I know the truth!]" "I like Jennifer Aniston" ..... ummmm okay. She is totally inspiring, not just in her social justice and human rights endeavours, but in how she is just so unapologetically HER.

Hey I'm a feminist and a vegan and I think I'm pretty chill. I know you're only joking but it still kinda made me feel sad to read "can you put the PETA sign down for a second" part. Le sigh. Anyways, my friend SWEARS by eyelash extensions. I might be down if I could afford it, but for now I'm either too lazy to wear mascara at all (and I have an intense aversion to the eye-makeup removal process, yikes) or if I wanna dress up I use whatever sample is lying around. I'm hopeful the quality extensions become more affordable soon, either that or I hope I win some caaaaaash. To buy PETA signs with, of course ;)

Her name wasn't really 6; it was Elizabeth. You can see in VERY briefly in the scene where they are at the new marketing agency and her name tag is placed on the table. She quickly covers it up and tucks it away, but there was a brief flash of the name: Elizabeth.

Wow, you are truly an embarrassment to vegetarians and vegans everywhere. Not only is this article highly fallacious, but there is not explanation given as to why you needed to test-run a meat burger. I, too, was a life-long vegetarian before making the switch to veganism 2 years ago. What is different for people like you and I, who have always grown up eschewing meat, is that we sometimes forget *why* we are vegetarian, compared with the omnivores that had to make a conscious change. I think you need to sit down with yourself and re-evaulate why you chose to remain vegetarian your whole life, even after you were old enough to realize it could be otherwise. Eating that meat patty proved nothing! I think you've lost touch with your sense of morality, and that makes me really really sad. I know I should probably refrain from being so harsh (although I'm not the one eating an innocent animal here), but SHAME ON YOU.
