Thank you for the opportunity! Such a generous giveaway!

I'm Kelly, I am newly diagnosed at 38 with Crohn's disease. I have a picc line and still am struggling with active external Disease.

Thank you so much, again, for your generosity despite your pain & struggle with CIPO. I still am learning so much about myself and digestive disorders from your site & past videos. I hope the future brings you many joys along with the struggles.

-Kelly M.
subgirl@gmail.com

Re: Inflamed & Untamed Merch? I’m loving the shirts I... - Inflamed and Untamed

I totally would get a shirt, the only thing is I'd appreciate an option without the "colon free" slogan as though I am quite inflamed & untamed (and absolutely wish to support the awesome stuff you do), I still have my colon *knock on wood* so it's not entirely accurate.

I'd also love to match my small intestine socks you & Dan inspired me to purchase. ^_^

One other thought, the sweaty weak feeling after infusing & going into Target may have been a low blood sugar drop. I know sometimes after I infuse my blood sugar can suddenly just tank if I'm not paying attention and it makes me feel clammy & sweaty, faint, weak, just like you described. Very icky indeed. I wonder if you're tracking your blood glucose levels around your infusions? My infusion service likes to have me check it once a week and/or when feeling wonky. I've learned I'm pretty hypoglycaemic except for when I'm actively infusing. It could be a rebound thing. Not sure as I'm also on prednisone which can screw all that up as well. >_<

Anyway, yay to independent errands, even if they had to be cut short. And yay to shirts! Hope you can offer them!

Re: Nakaya Sumiko Skull, among other skulls.

Oh dear. So perfect!

I never had good experiences with the mailboxes in class, but I sure have had a happy one since school and it would be even happier with a valentine from SA! I have commented many times with my eclectic thoughts on my house, but there are several rooms that could definitely use a different set of eyes/brains. :) Too exciting! I have yet to find a blogger who does that -show both preference and non-subjective swatches in the same post- and I thought of a way for it to be incorporated easily. I've been a collector for nearly a decade now and have been into polish for far longer. I nearly exclusively seek out new collections via blog posts (there are hundreds of manufactuerers now as you know, there is no way to keep up with them all and look at every single polish site every day.)

I was just thinking of a possible service to help readers.

Thanks.

Re: The PolishAholic: Cirque Alchemy Collection Swatches

On polishes that you prefer layered, but that are semi sheer or not completely dense or mate have a tinted base, would it be possible to have maybe one nail in your swatches or perhaps a nail wheel that shows what the polish looks like on its own? I prefer sheer finishes and often the bases you choose can change the colour the finished product is on the nail and it's very hard to judge consistency & true opacity. I know there are other blogs that may do the individual items that way but it's only useful to see other blogs if you know you're interested in something to begin with. I sub to your blog because it's such an overview it gives more variety than individual blogs do.

I just have seen several swatches in the last few posts that say you prefer them layered but they could be fine on their own and you clearly dislike sheer textures, I just would appreciate seeing polishes in ways that maybe you wouldn't wear but someone else might, but it would be impossible to know since all you show currently is preferential combos. I'm not suggesting full swatches being different, just, say, one nail of the swatch being straight from the bottle to give a baseline control, and then with your preferred application being the main focus.

Re: Design Improvised: My Office Reveal and $150 Home Decorators Giveaway!

Ah I love all the black & white accessories! I know I already commented on the inspiration post about my own place & colours. I love how two different people can have such wildly differing places with similar colour schemes. :) Yours is much more classicly feminine and white with sophisticated accents and mine goes the "crazy, possibly juvenile" direction.

My signed photo of Martha (what a dream to get to see her! Beyond jealous, also because you're in Hobby Lobby country! I'm hours from one!) also gets pride of place when I finally get art back up.

I do more art in mine (well WILL) so I can't really do any colours on my walls like your pink (plus it's a rental) but I am thinking this pink would be lovely in the laundry room!

Thanks again for sharing! Lots of pictures are the best! Can't wait for the tour of the craft cabinet! I am super interested in the boxes - did you find ones with black handles or paint them? Are those Martha labels or are they painted too? I have some of those but hadn't figured out where to use them, this is perfect for those ever changing organising bins I have!

Re: The PolishAholic: Salon Perfect Neon Collision Collection Swatches

Good to know, thanks! I rarely get mixed bunches. Of course I rarely get cut flowers at all unless something really strikes me. A few months last year my SO was bringing me home totally random flowers in the spring (I think there was a street seller by the train station) and bring male he just got things in vibrant colours. We don't have any vases except one bud vase I got at IKEA and a small blown glass vase that will hold a couple roses that was a gift from my aunt. So the huge bunches of tulips he was bringing home just went into drinking glasses. :)
I am inspired though, to maybe add in a green of some sort, though the landlord's gardeners just sheared everything to the ground and as high as they could reach so the only thing left in the yard to use would be snuck off a neighbour's plant.

If I get something from the grocery store this weekend I will certainly post it. I haven't had flowers in a long time.

Re: The PolishAholic: Salon Perfect Neon Collision Collection Swatches

Do these dry matte like Floam & the others do? The trials of lobes. First I have to say I NEED this lip tar. I have never been happy with black & glitter lipsticks. First one I tried was Manic Panic uhhh. Too long ago. Second hit & miss was the Urban Decay one. It is a good black but the glitter just does not make it to the lips. I must have.

So where do you get your eyelets? I am plateaued but need more jewellery for going back up and haven't bought but locally and one ring at a time. I'm finally up to 4g which is just too heavy and need to switch to eyelets or something but buying them in the shops can be super spendy. It looks like you have some silicone ones (do you and do you like them? I want to be able to wear other stuff in them and not have the the saggy lobe look.) and maybe some glass ones? I have some glass plugs I love but my lobes seem to be too elastic to keep them in overnight. (I have chubby lobes heh.)

Love the fringe & colour too! (As I said on IG - I'm subgirl there too)

Re: Design Improvised: DIY Project: Art for Stella's Big Girl Room

Ah! Thank you so much for the great advice! I totally forget JoAnn has frames and the vivids look great! I will definitely check them out with a stack of coupons in hand & on my phone.

Also, the stacking of mats (in the post you linked to) is done ALL the time. It's actually usually super fancy and expensive to do, but it worked really well for that one! :)

When I finally get to it I'll send pics of what I end up with. We moved nearly 9 months ago and I still haven't gotten to putting art up yet (it's been a very stressful 9 months!) I have a lot of art (being an artist, surprisingly little is my own work, but I have many artist friends and love their work and to support them when I can so there's a LOT. I have quite a few unframed works that need frames to be hung too that I've gotten recently. Very excited now to get stuff on walls! Thanks!)

Re: Design Improvised: DIY Project: Art for Stella's Big Girl Room

Sorry to ask a q on an old post but got here from your most recent one. We're these frames wood to start with or something else (metal)? Do you know where to look for cheap (simple, clean lined, preferably in a larger wuantity for cohesion) frames that could be treated this way also?

I currently have a bunch of $2 (well they're more expensive now but they were that much when I got them) Walmart/Walgreens "FORMAT" brand (style?) black plastic frames that I put postcards in and group on the wall but they're getting harder to find and are hard to put anything thicker than a thick stock and a couple postcards (so no canvas panels or thick letterpress or things that need mats or paintings). This was fine in college but I have some nice photos I've taken now and some museum prints that need some frames. I'm fine with DIY but the glass/plexi is expensive on its own and is harder to source.

I really love the hot pink frames sooo much. Would be great to have some for my pink & red kitchen!
