I love the stats being thrown about how more and more people are being indoctrinated towards Islam. And so many people are taking over. That argument and the subsequent pride makes me chuckle. You probably believe that there's going to be accounting spreadsheet of your sins and piety too no? That'll be unfurled from a papyrus reed on Judgement Day? This kind of outrage comes from one simple fact of life. Don't impose your will on others, and when you do in your own countries, don't feel so victimized when you have to abide by someone else's. I've been an ex-resident of the UAE, and among a thousand diktats--the one that pissed me off was the law against eating and drinking during the day hours during Ramadan. They fined me as a kid. Now you may argue that's in lieu of the millions fasting, well guess what--when you go to France, the people are fiercely secular in their need to see each other as equals and beyond visual stereotypes--so if they say don't wear a hijab. Get in line and comply.

P.S--I'm from India where they regularly threaten artists who 'offend' Hindu (and all the other religions) sensibilities. I think they're pathetic too.

Hit the nail on the ruddy coffin. The fact that the MBA has become an Excel-toting gizmo that is supposed to function like a cogwheel--not one click more or less--is the sadness of big organizations today. 80% of Indian MBAs are engineering degree-holders and everybody is part one big 'process'. They make working for a large organization nearly impossible if you don't like to be bogged down by less abstract more concrete visions.

BB came in with a specific bundle to subsidize its rates, its the same cost across the 12-14 national carriers we have. Apple doesn't really care about us as a market and thus nobody gives a rat's ass except 1 million odd folks who get theirs from Dubai and Singapore. And HTC+Samsung should subsidize the rates on their lower range. Ultimately the smartphone is as smart as its connectivity.

You n00bs can't get any worse with the get an Android hurrah. Yes BB sucks, the interface is as good as nothing, its cumbersome, it hangs, and apart from great push mail and BBM--has zero real world importance. What you 3G-sucking hogs have no idea is that in a country like India (And BRICI countries) where there's 120% mobile penetration and 96% of them are frickin' prepaid--your Androids and iPhones (ex-iPhoner meself) and data-hungry apps and rich, richer, richest media have no sense with the kind of tariffs they're coming at.

Blackberry users in India get an unlimited Internet, mail and BB plan at a measly INR 399 (8 USD 16 FRICKING CENTS). That is how cheap it is to use Blackberry. Compare that to the unlimited iPhone/Android 3G plan at INR 1899 (40 USD). What do you think a developing economy is concerned with?
Till the stupid people at Android Manufactures Inc and Apple don't bundle us a cheap phone, with a cheaper data plan. They will not make it in this market. And yes Americans i know you're used to paying 70-100 USD for unlimited plans, but I'm sorry but we can't afford it. We have calling rates as cheap as 0.01 USD a minute.

Its not as snappy and responsive as the iPad, how difficult must that beautifully seamless movement be to achieve? :) All these new OS's look much cooler, productive and functional. But ultimately, give all four of them to a random consumer and the way that the iPad reacts to your touch, organically--is such a hook.

Doesn't make sense to anyone in India. Believe it or not, the Blackberry Unlimited EDGE plan costs 10$ here, yep, 10, and no fair usage. So download, view the web and BBM as much as your carpal tunnel ridden fingers will let you. Compare that to the horrible iPhone plan i have to endure which is 10$ to just activate and 25 cents an MB depending on usage. What's the use of a BB app? Unless you give that cheapass, emerging economy rate to the net on phones, the BB app makes no sense to us iPhoners....
