This complete PULITZER PRIZE WINNING d-bag squanders multiple opportunities and is now taking from the U.S. government, which means I'm subsidizing his idiocy. You're right. I have no empathy. He should have known much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a safety net, but not for this guy. I've never taken any prolonged trips to Europe, bought stocks on margin, spent my capital (whatever that means), yadda yadda yadda...

Re: Apple plans to push Beats to every iPhone

Slacker allows you to do just that with its $10/month service. One thing we can regrettably thank Obama for is this ridiculous class warfare divisiveness and condescending - not to mention factually inaccurate - expressions he has uttered, like "they need to pay their fair share."

The term "top 1 percent," which he intentionally obfuscates and confuses in his remarks so one doesn't 'get' the difference between a top one percenter and a top tenth of one percenter, did not exist in the mass lingua franca before he came to office. Thank you President Obama. BTW, I'm not an Obama hater, but this is one area in which his legacy will last. And that kind of "us versus them" mentality is not good for our society. Yes, it is more synonymous with the mindset of a community organizer - no doubt about it.

Ridiculing and criticizing success, instead of embracing it, is a sure fire pathway to the bottom, both individually and collectively.

Re: 90% of Californians lack earthquake insurance

Agreed. "I want the EXPERIENCE of a $20,000 two week vacation at the Four Seasons in Maui." And another thing...I love: a) watching the same movies over and over again, b) taking the same walking route to the office, c) eating at the same restaurants d) doing the same workouts." I treasure it. I think different thoughts each time. I observe and notice different 'things' each time. I take away a different and deeper appreciation for these seemingly mundane activities each time. And I appreciate the very essence of the simplest things in life that much more -- each time.

Re: Five reasons why the market is seeing red

So basically, fear and emotion are driving the markets down, and it's a typical August. What about a freakin' baked potato? What about black beans? What about a baked potato smothered with black beans? This is what much thinner poor people in other countries eat.

Secondly, there's the typical, "We need to help the poor people, and these f'ing ELITISTS don't get it." The babble typically goes like this:

"Oh, but poor people in THIS country are addicted to junk foods as is their community, and they live in the GHETTO where there's no place to shop.

Dude--really. You've got the same eyes I do. I go to my high ticket gym in the San Francisco Bay Area and see a bunch of fatsos. I go to Middle America and look at middle class folks and see a bunch of fatsos. I travel to other countries and people are generally thinner. We top the scales. And it's largely because we eat huge quantities of food in this country and we think we're entitled to do so. Cuz we's Americans.

Now don't get me wrong. I love this country, just not our HABITS when it comes to eating. At all. So keep flatulating about healthier junk foods. It's missing the point. It ALL comes down to habits. And until we get it we'll just keep getting bigger.

Re: Why Pandora bought an FM radio station - The Hill's Congress Blog

Who is your friend? Only a fraction of iPhone users subscribe to either of those two services (or the other ones...Slacker, MOG, etc.). 3) What equals 'way bigger?' How many millions of folks STILL get their music through dinosaur terrestrial FM stations owned by CBS, Clear Channel, Cumulus, Entercom.......

Re: Tuesdays With Jeff: Insights Into Your Health: How To Jump-Start Your Metabolism

I find that when I yell at people and slap them around a bit, that this helps keep me thin. It is so much easier when you are NOT the Commander in Chief. But IMHO, Romney sounded much more presidential than Obama. I heard both of their remarks 'live' this morning. Obama sounded like Jimmy Carter -- he really really did, and I remember the era oh so well.

And lest you criticize Romney for politicizing this event, the Obama campaign has endlessly politicized bin Laden's killing. You cannot have it both ways.

This administration's response today was predictable--slow, tone deaf, muted, unemotional, and overly apologetic. It was an embarrassing moment.

Peace be with the victims of this tragedy and their families and friends.P.S. I'm no Romney apologist. I thought his speech at the RNC in Tampa was imbecilic, and his remarks last weekend about keeping the name 'God' on our coins even more so. I'm just calling it as I see it.

Re: iTunes Gets a Major Makeover

Can anyone articulate exactly what "improved iCloud integration" means? I thought WFNX had long ago passed the point of no return simply because it had been on the air for so long. When it first broke on in 1983 I was living in a cockroach infested apartment on Queensberry working as an intern at WBZ. Now I sit listening to a stream blasting out from my Apple TV in my comfortable home in the SF Bay Area nearly 30 years later and I am sad...but also amazed the station lasted as long as it did. And the irony is that the music playing now (e.g., Friends-Friends Crush) is so much better than the mainstream, repetitive ALT that FNX has blasted out in the last several years. So...onto Pacfic Radio and Slacker's Alternative Station...and goodbye to the fake traffic reports from Biff in the Whirlybird.

Re: Spotify vs. the Pirates (Video)

I love listening to my Napoleon Hill on my Spotify. Otherwise, it's just gonna be more Napoleon Hill. And my wife...is a bit tired of it all. Say buh-bye Clear Channel, CBS and Cumulus.
