I'm relatively sure you won't pass out after an hour or less on the cross, but the breaks should be at least 1/2 as long as each performance. You have about the same odds of being stalked every time you go out in public so I wouldn't worry about the slight increase of that risk... especially if you have "watchers" in the audience. As for letting the audience lick you, I would suggest having a partner pick those people, and you keeping your eyes close. Personally, I believe YOU would come closer to enjoying the situation & experience if you are not distracted by the visual. out maybe a hetero male, but I still see this as a situation where you can take a process that could be objectifying & making it empowering because you exercise the control!! Unfortunately, I have no clue which venues this would be appropriate for but I can certainly see its appeal!

Re: The 7 Deadly Sins Of Twitter. Is it time to block a few more? Really though, I find I have to block 2 or 3 followers for every person I let follow me AND I'm slow to follow someone else. I'll read 2 or 3 pages of their tweets and follow their links before the pass my litmus test. Main atribute I look for? NICE PEOPLE!!

Re: Part One: A Little Context

You DID warn us that it's only part one... so only a light spanking if you don't deliver part 2 soon!

Re: It's a Mad World

Thanks, I just got the chance to do some follow up and you are correct again. I can see why Sarah values your opinion. Maybe this really shows there are positives and negatives to everything. Both Dave and United received a lot of free publicity. Both got the chance to repeatedly express their views and reasoning. Both demonstrated good and bad aspects & judgment. Maybe the lesson here is that the world is an increasingly transparent place and once a view has been expressed it's harder than ever to retract. Finally, like Dave and United, I see there is always better ways to handle any situation. Still, all of us did our best to remain polite. I believe Sarah was more focused on all the people who forget, to quote Robert Heinlein, "Manners are the grease for society's wheels. Without them, anarchy erupts and civilization starts it's decline."
I'm paraphrasing there because I do not have a photographic memory but I'm sure the sentiment is spot on.

Re: Killed by a Tooth

Free enterprise is what is killing health care for the poor in this country. We pay over 20 times as much for admin costs than Canada. They pay less than 1.5 percent for admin costs while the US pays over 30%. The difference is in commissions and other unnecessary expenses we pay for having middlemen (Insurance companies) between consumers and providers. At one time insurance was for loss mitigation. Then it became a business that had to pay not just for legitimate losses, but also shareholders and commissions. Insurance companies were once required to have a certain percentage of their funds remain liquid so they could pay off in case of loss. When did that change to invest those assets and focusing on finding ways to avoid paying legitimate claims? I wish I could remember the source, but I remember reading last year that several insurance companies increased their bottom line by simply denying all claims on the first attempt! They then started offering less for each settlement until the claimants became so desperate they took the settlement rather than wait for years that litigation would require.
What we really need is Insurance reform, much more than health care reform. We have great health care available in this country, it's just so expensive that too few people can afford it.We have people dying preventable deaths, not because we don't have health care, but because we have too many people profiting from every procedure.

Re: Who says I have to do that?

Not the freckles... my eyes aren't good enough to notice them. Basically this was an idea I had where, for a fee, you could rent an aspiring actor to make a scene in public.
Imagine you've just had a relationship end badly. Do you think it might be worth a 100 bucks or so to have the ex-sig other publicly humiliated? Say the ex is a major homophobic jock type. You pay us and let us know where and when he'll be out in public with his friends, or better yet, co-workers. (This works best in a bar or restaurant.) One of our "agents" approaches our victim and suddenly drops to his knees crying and wailing saying over and over, "You promised to call, you swore I was the best you'ld ever had, WHY ARE YOU IGNORING MY CALLS?'" That's just one example but you can see what I mean. Singing telegrams, people who will throw a pie in someone's face... there is ALWAYS a niche market for any service.
