To your point about marketing, though, yes I think this particular poster is more about that.

My more general point was much more to do with ROI. The thing I find interesting is what happens when we see more technology like google maps come into play. I certainly don't sit around and consider the ROI of it and I doubt the true value of having a service like that is able to be captured. That was my broader point :)

Hi Kylie - yup, you're right! There should be a 'operate' on the end of that sentence :) That will teach me for writing the post in a hurry at the end of the night!

I love your idea, though. Imagine if Pozible could integrate with the Post Office to handle all of the sending of the goods, or managing that address list for you. Very powerful!

I also loved that he says it makes him a better thinker and speaker. He shared some good tips about how to 'ring it in' too, which is always useful.

Totally agree. We can sometimes get caught up trying to keep pace with others, which can actually make us hate the idea of learning something. However, it can also draw you in and help you make sense of the tool where you otherwise may not have.

Great point, but I think testing something is actually a key part of not being distracted. Agreed, you certainly can't be testing something every minute of every day, but if you do test it and don't like it, the it's something you can park and get back to BAU.
To your point, it's all about managing your attention and focus and testing things can reduce that burden, I find.

Yeah, FYI is a funny one. Things that are FYI are, like Joe says, probably better suited to an enterprise social network or other digital medium.

Yeah, it's nice isn't it. I'm trying to borrow the #leanstartup framework to but some 'business nous' behind this concept. It's hard to tell colleagues/clients "we're just going to be prepared" but that's honestly what gets the best results. I'll let you know how I go :)

Couldn't agree more on the 'space everywhere' idea. In fact, this post was written on the communal table at the Palace Verona Cinema in Paddington. I enjoy the anonymity of places like that. Airports are similar havens for me. Enjoy your trip!

Awesome mate. I like how you've dissolved a bit of ownership as you've headed off to SF. It'll be interesting to see what the vibe is like without you in the space. :)

You're right about the size, but I think that's what I like about it. H/W is not undersubscribed, and like Inspire9 before it, it's set itself up to grow from it's initial roots by having a strong community initiate it.
