AT&T gives the discount with a credit card (currently Chase Ink Cash). At least they do for me. I would assume they would for AMEX but I will have to find out.

Uber is a technology company. There's no reason they couldn't expand into other service areas much in the same way Amazon expanded from books into absolutely everything. It's entirely conceivable Uber could become the go to place for finding hundreds of services for hire. Of course, I'll be using Lyft for a while for now:)

Regarding row 27 or the last row on any JetBlue plane, generally you can’t pick those seats when selecting a seat. In my many years of flying JetBlue they are always X’d out. I think they save them for last minute buyers or those who do not select a seat when buying a ticket.

That's exactly what you get with the Amazon card, albeit in non-transferrable points which can only be used on Amazon. But you also get 5X on Whole Foods purchases. If you want flexible points, yes, the Chase Ink office supply store gift card route is a good way to go. If all you care about is getting points to use on Amazon, the Amazon card is less of a hassle.
