We stayed at Marin RV Park because we aren't military -- it's basically a parking lot but convenient to Golden Gate Bridge. We did a lot of the same things you did during our visit last year, with a few exceptions. Here's my blog post about it (and I've now posted a link to your story in the comments at the end of it). Can't wait to see more of your travels up the coast -- it'll be like reliving what we did a year ago! https://rvluckyorwhat.com/2...

Re: Death Valley National Park in One Day

Sorry I posted twice -- it didn't appear to go through the 1st time. Furnace Creek Ranch Resort campground has 26 back-in RV sites with full-hook ups for rigs up to 50 ft. They're tucked away in the back. We call ahead a few months in advance to reserve one. During this visit, we also discovered that the National Park Service campground at Furnace Creek (often confused with Furnace Creek Ranch operated by Xanterra) has 18 new full-hook-up level sites for big rigs -- and so much prettier with better views than the resort! We will stay there next time!

We have a 45-foot Tuscany and don't have solar either -- and we work! So FHU all the way! We actually had signal in the rig while we were there and got work done. Hooray! I blogged about why we love Death Valley here: https://rvluckyorwhat.com/2...

Re: Death Valley National Park in One Day

Too bad you couldn't stay longer. You missed seeing some of the starriest skies in the U.S.! Did you see any wildflowers? This year was the first superbloom in ten years. So much more to see and do. If you do go back, the NPS campground at Furnace Creek is big rig friendly. The length limit for vehicles at Artists Palette is 25 feet.

Re: Death Valley National Park in One Day

The length for vehicles on Artists Palette is 25 feet. You just missed the first superbloom in Death Valley in ten years! And too bad you left before dark -- you missed the darkest skies in the US! Hope you are able to go back and spend more time exploring. If you do, we recommend camping at the NPS campground at Furnace Creek -- it's big rig friendly. So much awesome hiking to do and if you get enough hiking points (and take a selfie at each point), you get a sticker. :)

Re: Can Freezing Temperatures Harm The LCD TV In Your RV?

Thanks for this! It didn't even occur to us that the cold nights in Moab might be why our outdoor TV in our 2014 Thor Tuscany failed. Hmm...

Re: Brooklyn Half Marathon: Achieving Goals and Looking Forward the Next Big Thing

Congratulations, Jenna!!
