You have named midwives and others working to bring more midwives into the eHealth delivery space. These health professionals are going mighty work in up skilling midwives and bringing them online and into the dynamic space of the Internet with Google search engine, and other online programs which are great resources. Women mostly use these resources independently from midwifery care. I wonder why, when information and communication tools offer many different possibilities. Admittedly there are fish-hooks such as privacy issues but many women seem happy to participate in forums. Of course health professionals are subject to more stringent privacy standards. When you consider the creative ways people now use Twitter, there are still endless possibilities.

Re: http://babyandme.co.nz/post/452330640

Interesting and useful

Re: Promote Your Publications!

Journal of Health Informatics in Developing Countries, Vol 3, No 1 (2009)
Vol 3, No 1 (2009)
Search engines: a study of nine search engines in four categories
Dallas Knight, Alec Holt, Jim Warren

The new IRGO website is outstanding.

Re: Mumbai attacks reported all over Twitter

The FA4CT method of evaluating health on the Internet requires 1)Finding the answers and comparing information from different sources. 2)Checking credibiilty of different sources if conflicting information is provided. 3)Checking Trustworthiness (Reputation) of sources. This tool for health consumers is a reliable, valid and usable approach. The unit of evaluation is 'a fact' or 'health claim'. This may have wider application as it is easily and quidkly applied.
Ref: http://lib.bioinfo.pl/pmid:...

Re: Virtual Insanity?

GPs run a business.
