It looks like you (DIYer) have solved the technical issue with DISQUS as here we are leaving comments.

The issue of the
"POWERS THAT BE"
are as I trust you know a question of who the powers are as usually the powers that are the powers are people driven to becoming and being those powers. Perhaps I flatter myself to imagine I was ever as much a power person as Mr. Bryant but I was and IWAS in his native town of Victoria. As an appointed "deputy minister" I had the power to decide what happened in Medicare (a current topic but I am talking Canada and the late 70s, 80s) just as 2009 I can still find myself in the B.C. Hansard, maybe Michael will go off farming, and 30 years later, 2040) a lower middle class guy economically - as am I today - he'll have some clippings he can show the other old men at the MacDonald's - where they have senior specials. I mean this is one of those stories that repeats and repeats - Mr. Toronto having acted on priniciple - (actually we don't know yet in Michael's case what he is going to do - all we know is that whatever he does - the story has a story of it's own and ten years from now - comes the day that ms. power wife leaves him - I can hear her story - "Yeah Michael" - you did the right thing for youself - but what about me me - I gave up my career for you and here I am and what have i got out of it - you know - the "Big Chill" where the grrls get a new husband every 14 years story - but I rave and wander - something you can't be seen to do when you're on top - I am going to watch this story play out - I have got money on every dog in the race -

I mean he bought the Saab for $5,000.

DIYer - Elizabeth don't need no help in this debate but it is all in Goethe's Faust
