I find it hypocritical that the network that loves to present us with shots of attractive women in the stands, close-ups of the Ice Crew and always has a "hottie" among the "Shoot the Puck" participants (ironically hosted by Susannah) is suddenly bothered by a slip of the tongue. I think CSN is more embarrassed by the Sports Nutz videos she hosted a few years ago when a simple Google search would have revealed them when they first interviewed her.

Funny that Kendall Gill was only suspended for his altercation with Tim Doyle and Susannah was actually let go. A double standard perhaps?

Good luck. You would have a better chance of him coming back here for a political fund-raiser. City violence is the REAL problem, not assault rifles or magazine capacity. However, it's not a hot-button topic in Washington and Feinstein, et al would rather pursue their own agenda than come up with real solutions in our cities.

We don't own an iPad. I'm curious if it's worth buying the iPad 2 or take advantage of the $100 price reduction and buy the old one. It's for my son and he is into gaming so we'll probably eventually opt for the iPad 2. If it was for me, I would go the cheaper route.

Thanks for the link, Richard. It's great that you have these wonderful pictures.

The website says your father served on the Rodman from September 1945 to January 1946. Our records indicate that my dad returned to the U.S. in April 1946 so our fathers would not have been on the ship at the same time. Too bad. That would have been interesting!

Both Tumblr and Posterous are superior blogging platforms. I have both and you cannot go wrong with either one. The fact that Posterous has been around for a shorter period of time than Tumblr is a reflection of Posterous' simplicity and ease of use.

I'm glad you and Amanda got to see the original farm site last summer. You can see that it is nothing like how I remember it. I just hope the land stays in the family so I can always visit it.

It may eventually come down to YouTube removing video clips, but you can do a search on YouTube right now for the college of your choice and see clips from past games taken by fans in the stands plus clips taken from TV. I personally see no harm in posting personal video as long as I am not profiting from its distribution ... but that's just my opinion.

This is really a dumb move. I can't tell you how many times I've clicked on YouTube to watch video of an exciting play taken from the stands of a college football game. It is infinitely more exciting to watch fan-produced video (even in its crudest form) than watch over-produced TV coverage.

I think the "Get a Mac" ads are more memorable, but having just gone through the laptop search myself, I can say that the Microsoft ads are more realistic. I settled on a $699 HP laptop, but nobody was there to hand me money. :-)

I thought about the same thing as I was watching the Tweets come in when Flight 1549 splash landed in the Hudson River. In fact, as it was happening, I went to http://monitter.com/ and typed in the word "Hudson." Monitter updates everything in real time and it was amazing the number of Tweets that were coming in -- most were retweets passing along links and others came in from witnesses. It was amazing how quickly it all came together...in some cases more quickly than conventional news outlets.

I wish there were a way to thread replies. Often I receive a reply to an older Tweet that I have to research to know what they were replying to. For the same reason, I seldon reply to a Tweet that's older than 24 hours.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you want your followers to go directly to the original link, not to FriendFeed. You can do this by going to Account > Feed Publishing and check the box in front of: "Link to source site instead of FriendFeed conversation (does not apply to comments)." The link contained within your Tweet will go to the original shared content; NOT to FriendFeed.
