I prefer my winch on the rear bumper when off-roading (with the exception of over landing in the remote African bush). It's more common that I want to reverse out of an obstacle than power through it.

Thanks for the constructive feedback AirJ1012. I can promise you, we are listening. :)

Unfortunately the "popular thing" isn't always the "right thing." One example is removing rarely-used features. Users might not love us for it but it's something we have to do if we're going to fight feature creep and keep the product easy to use.

If the only thing we do is add features to Facebook Photos then you can imagine how bad things will get.

There are a number of inaccuracies in this article that I'd like to correct:

This does not happen. After syncing, the Facebook Phonebook only displays contact information you have access to. If you don’t have access to someone’s contact information, you don’t have access to it in any way including through this application. Period.

Also inaccurate. To enable the syncing feature you must:

1. Open iPhone app. 2.Click "Friends" 3. Click Sync 4.Turn "On" (this page could probably be more clear) 5."I Agree" to the notice explaining what information will be transferred:

"If you enable this feature, all contacts from your device (name, email, address, phone number) will be sent to Facebook and be subject to Facebook's Privacy Policy, and your friends' profile photos and other info from Facebook will be added to your iPhone address book. Please make sure your friends are comfortable with any use you make of their information. [I Don't Agree] [I Agree]"

Inaccurate. See above. That said, it's possible the app could be more clear. I will create an internal ticket with new suggested language.

Accurate. I pinged the engineer that is working on this. Turns out they took the page down for some scheduled downtime. They're working hard to get it back online in response to this article. EDIT: The page should now be back online.

Disclaimer: I'm not directly involved in this feature at Facebook (but I am somewhat familiar with it).

I want to let you know that your post has been heard and that I will personally show this post to the rest of the photos team.

These are all good ideas. While Facebook probably won't implement all of them, I can promise that the entire photos team will discuss the pros & cons of each.

Feel free to add any other comments about Facebook photos here. We appreciate the feedback and we're listening to it.

Cool. I hadn't heard of MyBart.org or their twitter account. MyBart is genius. While it doesn't directly promote Bart ridership, I can see how it'd be a very valuable tool for Bart riders.

I agree that it's nice to see some personality at a large organization (government or otherwise). Really, I view the lack of personality at large orgs as failure on part of the CEO. Connecting with their stakeholders is one of the most important parts of their job, after all.

Here's a little easter egg: we already do this. You can get the email address for an event by hovering your mouse in the top-right hand corner of the event. For example to add photos to http://divvyshot.com/event/... simply send them to beautiful-beaches@dvsht.com

High resolution images
=========
We store all our images in the original resolution that they were uploaded in. You can download any photo on Divvyshot in full resolution by hovering over it and clicking "Download full-res photo"

You can also download all the full-res photos in the entire event as one zip file. Just click the "Download this event" icon on the page.

Vanity URLs for users and events
=========

Nope, I think you spotted Spring '09 edition of 2600. Blog Blazers is in the second shelf from the top on the right side. It's on the left side in that shelf. In the photo you can see the blue on the bottom of the book's spine :)
