Dave, I'd love to help you do this. I organize an average of 4 tech events a month. I do everything from Forums, which feature focused discussions on a single topic, to mixers, to conferences.

If we partner with a school, we won't have to worry about mind-draining logistic issues, so we can focus on speakers and ideas.

I try to keep it simple to keep from letting the technology distract
from the ideas. Even if an interviewee works a few blocks away from
me, I prefer to use Skype to keep from messing with a camera, tripod,
etc.

My other concern with tools is that they change so fast. Within a few
months, every one of the tools I mentioned will probably be replaced with an
upgraded version and this video will be useless.

With the interviews, I think the ideas last longer.

That really answered a mystery for me, Michael.

I couldn't figure out why, when some apps I use got new updates their
release dates were so old. I always wondered how I could have missed the
updates for so long.

Point #1 is what I hope you guys will help with:

The student (and his/her parents) is increasingly going to take control of his/her education including choice of schools, teachers, classes, and even curriculum. That's what the web does. It transfers control from institutions to individuals and its going to do that to education too.

Love those examples Khuram! Meanwhile, I can't tell you how many people I see waste money on office space. It's a large fixed cost to carry around. I'm not judging because I did that once too. Huge space in mid-town. Painful. Your approach is better.

Sometimes I feel like entrepreneurship is the lesser of two pains for me.

After I cashed in my chips and took a break, I worried about starting something new. I didn't want to risk going back to poverty. But I decided that the bigger risk for me was living a life where I didn't try to do what I wanted.

I thought about what that kind of future might be and realized I would be too depressed.
