This needs to happen. I feel like the biggest deficiency is Photos. I have to pay 4 separate charges each month for each of our family members for upgraded storage, most of which is dedicated to storing their photos.

Cue the Google apologists/Apple haters who will claim that Google did this years ago and went nowhere, so, therefore, Apple's solution will go nowhere. I, too, believe this could be as big or bigger than anything Apple has announced since the iPhone.

Sold or shipped? I'd be willing to bet that, over time, Apple will sell just as many, if not more, 6+ units as the 6. A more accurate headline would have read "Early data suggests iPhone 6 usage is higher than that of the 6 Plus by a significant margin". Of course, that's not nearly as sensational.

Hmm...I'd love to compare notes with someone who said their features were still working. Although I guess I should clarify—I can make FaceTime calls over cellular. It's HD Voice that is definitely not working.

@DarkStone I do love it, and I do native mobile development, but when the client is adamant about not using Flash in any way, shape or form, there's not much I can do.

@Keyle I completely agree. I was the first to call bullshit on the HTML 5 hype train and still am. However, my clients ultimately get to make the call on platforms. I can, and do, make my opinions and recommendations clear. But at the end of the day, if they decide they absolutely don't want to use Flash / Flex, I've got no choice but to go along with their demands. That or walk away from the project.

While I'm excited about Stage3D, games are not really part of my core competency, nor does my company offer game development as a service. If I were a game developer, however, I'd be very excited about Stage3D.

I have to agree with you, Maruicio. At this point, I've seen nothing that leads me to believe I could recommend building something in HTML 5 to my clients. I'm completely open, however, if someone can show me real working examples and dev tools.

Jim, we'll agree to disagree. I think the topic is worth talking about as it affects people like us (I'm assuming you're also a web dev) in a very real way. Unlike most of the tech pundits and bloggers, we have an obligation to our clients to know everything there is to know about these technologies and wether or not they are viable.
