I wonder what you think about the new markets for fast fashion menswear online like boohoo.com. They offer a style manual and are trying to compete with Asos, another company I would love to hear your thoughts on.

It is the insinuation to slavery not just African Slavery that is the actual issue. At first I thought it was a shoe that was a concept shoe but regardless of what I think someone will get a hold of these shoes and where them.

I think it is the best place to learn. It also reflects how diverse some museums are getting in their Outreach tactics. I love it and feel that it helps to finance the museum.

Edith Head is a great example of a "hidden" legacy. I am still learning about African American Women who designed for the American motion pictures!

This is a big deal for you to share this let alone with the internet and I want to give you a big hug and a round of applause for your courage.
I always think I am tall enough/ big enough, to defend myself and walk around at all hours of the night.
It isn't safe and this video knocked me down a peg. Arming yourself is the best policy or using the buddy system. While you might felt alone you are not alone.

Thank you for finding me! It is a true shame that while the fashion industry presents a faux sense of opportunity they do not protect its designers or even its models. Things are changing slowly, thank goodness.

I know right! I am so sorry about the Topshop fiasco and I am glad they pulled the product. While it is commendable we all know that they are doing it on a constant basis to some independent designer. ALSO, Simone Rocha still has not received the same justice so the fight continues.

I do not like this term at all. I also twinged a little at the idea alone. However, this provides an amazing opportunity for historians to define fashion history and material culture as hard History. I wish I could write a book on it!

This was my very poor attempt at GIMP and collage. I usually use photoshop or paint and find GIMP to be a little jerky. I love Carven's prints. They rival Issey Missake and Kenzo.
