We call in our options orders into the Merrill guys on the floor and by and large they are incredibly bright. It's Merrill's investment bank unit that is making the company look terrible.

I won't go into full detail on a public message board but I'll give you the basics of my reasoning.

Firstly, the market is plainly bullish right now. I am not in the business of picking tops. I trade in the direction of the market.

Secondly, the market from a psychological perspective will try to screw as many people as possible. Everyone and their mother is looking for a 'pullback', which will eventually materialize but not until the largest number of people are led into thinking the market will continue higher.

Lastly, there is a timing model I follow quite closely that is very accurate predicting intermediate term tops/bottoms. It says that this run up is on its last legs. Expect this to last into end of May or first week of June, but not beyond.

For what it's worth, I am bullish/neutral Monday/Tuesday of this week with a pullback into Wednesday/Thursday and up again on Friday.

Go short into close but this market is forming an intermediate bottom as we speak, no doubt about it. Expect rally to last into mid-August.

Tim, you have no idea how dead on your prognosis will turn out to be. I expect the latter half of August and all of September to be EXTREMELY volatile to the downside, more so than we've seen thus far. I'd give you a point up if you had posted!

Look for rally into Friday, then sell off into next week leading to capitulation. Then it's best to be long October through December.
