Any suggestions on how to fit this in with a cane? I can probably handle the power walk, with some difficulty, but I'm not sure how to ad HIIT given my limitations. Frankly, the power walk is probably at the upper edge, given the cane and my walking difficulties. Any suggestions on how to make it work so that it could still help me lose some of this way too much belly fat? Thanks everyone.

Re: The Problem with the Tablets

Perhaps the connection to the Jewish people is a remnant of the concept from the Sages that every Jewish soul was at Sinai, not just those who left Egypt but all those yet to come. We were all at Sinai according to the Sages so we all heard God speak the first two commandments. And as Dr. Ridner points out once you’ve heard the actual word of the Lord you can’t forget even thousands of years later so the connection remains andbseders retell the story and bring back the memory.

Re: With SPG Offering Its Highest Sign-Up Bonus Ever, Now Is the Time to Apply! Under the conference's proposal, there will be no difference in what a basketball or football player receives and what a scholarship swimmer or field hockey player receives. I know the conference passed this as a conference resolution and proposed it to the Power 5 conferences for their adoption, but I don't know if the other 4 went along. It will be implemented in the Big Ten, along with guaranteed multiyear scholarships.

Re: How to Earn Up to 8% Yield From Dividend Stocks

REITS have been on a good run up until recently when they have hit a bit of a slide as interest rate worries heat up. All he is doing is creating the basis for a new Middle East nuclear arms race that will be frighteningly expensive and potentially catastrophic not just to Israel but potentially to Europe and beyond. When Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia all have nuclear arsenals that are at least the equal of Iran's, the old cold war doctrine of mutual assured destruction is unlikely to protect anyone. When one party (the Iranian clerics) sees no danger in retaliation as it doesn't fear death for itself or its people, there is no policy short of military confrontation that can assure containing them.

Re: Were First Quarter Earnings the “Canary in a Coal Mine” for Stocks?

Sounds like the retail ETF is ripe for a short or some put options. Sure, Cantor had this huge war chest. Unfortunately, very little of it was spent on campaign ads, direct mail or other substantive campaign activities that would lead to votes. Too much of it went to pay for consultants and horribly bad polls. The lesson once again is you can never take an election for granted - especially if you have ticked off a substantial group of activists.

Re: It’s official: Time Warner Cable the most-hated

The merger offers little hope since Comcast has announced it will sell the Louisville market to Charter immediately after the closing. Already, it struggles to keep decent horses and ful, fields for both it's spring meet, after the Derby, and it's fall meet, as it is unable to offer purses that are competitive with nearby states. Attendance and on track wagering are experiencing significant drops for every week other than Derby Week. Casinos have been the salvation of the company's other tracks, yet Kentucky's useless legislature has steadfastly resisted even considering them. This year, for the first time, CHDN got more money from casino operations than from racing and that is clearly the future of the company.

Re: The UConn Huskies Win “NCAA Hunger Games BINGO”

Of course, Kentucky could have won and then you would have had a school which fields its team of mercenaries who don't even pretend to be in school for any reason other than being forced to be there by NBA rules. In many ways it was the perfect NCAA finals: a team with no academic pretense vs.one no academic performance.

Of course, no one could say that Calipari is underpaid since his base is something like $5,000,000 per year before all the performance bonuses kick in. I don't know this for sure, but I'm fairly certain that there is no graduation bonus in his contract. There is a bonus for winning the National Championship, which sadly for him, he'll have to forego this year. This too from an institution whose academic budget has been slashed beyond recognition by the state legislature over the last decade, but whose athletic budget has ballooned.

Re: Tesla vs. BMW i3 Electric: First Comparison Test

I don't want to say that it would be comparable to a Tesla, but I would rather see BMW bring back a fully electric eMini, which was demoed here several years ago for a brief time. If I remember correctly, that model was a Prius like hybrid but with the fully electric technology that is available in the i3, it would seem well within their capability of delivering a fully electric one (remember, the review mentioned two i3 models, a fully electric and the hybrid, which is the one reviewed in detail). Of, course, I'm somewhat biased as I currently have a Mini convertible in the garage. Which brings up a question: is there a technological reason why there can't be an electric convertible? No one has built one yet, not even a hybrid, and I've wondered if it was perceived market demand or something to do with the design of the car - added weight to a car that is getting the added weight of an electric battery perhaps?

Re: NU Basketball Practice Notes: Nov. 12

The refs are only doing what they have been instructed to do and I wouldn't count on seeing any real change from them as the season progresses. You will see change as teams adjust; I've already seen some teams, those that drilled extensively on it in preseason practice, play to use the rules to their advantage. Expect to see more of that as better coaches with the right talent learn how to best exploit the new rules. I would expect NU to exploit them and Stanford may well be the game when that starts given some of the mismatches that there will be with a four wing offense.

Re: Your tax dollars at work: Nucleus signs Atria as major tenant … from four blocks away

Let's go back a few years and take a look at what Nucleus proposed to the state and city when applying for the TIF. Terry is absolutely correct that the project was sold (and selling a justification for a TIF is what UofL officials did) on the basis of attracting biotech companies from OUT OF TOWN and providing space for start-ups or early stage life science companies which grew out of research at the Medical School. I don't believe that the state would have been so willing to grant a TIF if its primary tenants were moving from buildings blocks away that were already suffering significant vacancies. It seems that UofL wants to become the landlord of choice for Louisville business. That's not what anyone had in mind when this whole mess started.

Re: The 6 Best Now-Defunct Team Names in Pro Sports

there is also the long lamented ABA champion Kentucky Colonels. The outline of each TIF district should tell exactly what areas are within whose TIF district. Once you know that, it's relatively easy to determine which TIF district is generating what. The question then is whether the districts were changed after they were first drawn. If the arena district was reduced or changed to accomodate Nucleus, that may be one reason for the arena's problems. Of course the major reason for the arena's problems is that the projections were grossly overstated.
