I'm thinking that they need a way to have it shown to be bad in the short term. If I was in charge of getting data centers built I'd do the whole. "It's good for the community! It's good for jrbbs" and then also bribe the people for vote for it and huge kickback at the local & state level.
Also, I'd set up a whole fake grass roots group that makes it seem like by NOT building the data centers our state will be "left behind" and it will go to other states.

Re: Eschaton: Happy Hour

Sometimes I don't need to read the article. It's an elevation of physical violence as the deciding factor vs. talking of a diplomat or the law. https://uploads.disquscdn.c...

Re: Eschaton: Happy Hour

I don't want to do a video with AI!!! But I don't want to find all the clips i want to use.
Also, what do I want to do with it?
My idea is to make a promo video for the UFC fight using the same conventions of old drag racing video with the SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY announcing style.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday
Sunday at Smoking U.S 30
drag strip watch the best rear engine
field dragsters in the country
try to push their brut machines
into the matching 5 seconds elasped time barrier
from Michigan, Jim Arnold's fierce hallucination
fueler.
From Ohio John Hilton's Motion Maker
rear engine field dragster.

Then I looked at the UFC promos and see all the quick cuts of people fighting and the slow images of them walking out of the helicopter that landed on the WH lawn.
I see the way they praise the people now

Ilia Topuria, one of the most sensational champions we've ever seen inside the Octagon. He has the chance to be the first to
successfully defend both the featherweight and lightweight UFC title.

But he is facing Justin Gaethje. He is a savage and he doesn't run away from anything. He has the highest performance bonus percentage in all of the UFC.

Those two at the White House should be insane.

I'm thinking that it should be Obama vs. Trump.
Showing Trump's decaying body
But it's really NOT about his body. IT'S about what he has done and said.
The whole The Land and the King as one thing.
I find it kind of boring and obvious to just show his body.
I don't feel it's clever or new.

But so much of Trump is destorying everything that Obama/Biden did.
Also, I thinking how he hurts people is not in the ring, it's on social media, it's in the courts, it's unleashing his mob on people
THAT is what I want to beat back.

Maybe showing Marc Elisa beating him in court. Over and over.
Or the failure of Trump's "champions."

Re: Eschaton: Happy Hour

Damn it!

Re: Eschaton: Happy Hour

"IT'S A CELLO!!!" / as I was told when I posted this.

Re: Eschaton: Happy Hour

Oh no I meant Ho2 will make me Hydroleroxyl which is toxic to humans! He said that Congress restored the NIH , National Institutes of Health, Cancer Research Funding and General Research to Universities funding. I JUST looked up the NIH funding part.
https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/27888131-stat-nih-funded-researcher-survey/

In a recent Stat survey of nearly 1,000 US-based NIH grantees, 35% saw all funding return after initial cuts, but 27% reported that none of their funding was restored and 26% said only some was.

“A lot of people in the US have said that science funding has been restored, grants are back and all the money’s out the door, so no harm, no foul, right?” he said. “Actually, no. There are probably thousands of people that are out of jobs and there are disruptions to the scientific enterprise more broadly that are just not as obvious. The idea that science in the US is back to full speed is just not consistent with what’s happening on the ground.” Scott Delaney former Harvard scientist

According to Grant Witness, more than 5,400 NIH grants, worth about $520 million (£390 million), and almost 2,000 NSF grants, worth $700 million, have been terminated or frozen.

At Town Hall:
The next question, Congressman, when will Congress take back the power of the purse?
Flood : Well, I would argue we have never given the power of the purse away and let me unpack that.
My first town hall last year was in Columbus and as you'll recall at the time, Doge was the very big issue and Elon Musk and the federal budget that was submitted by President Trump from the OMB. [He supported DOGE and Musk]
And as you'll recall, we had several folks that were very
unhappy about proposed cuts to the NIH, National Institutes of Health, Cancer Research Funding, General Research to Universities. [Flood supported the cuts]
And I want you to know that in January of this year, we passed 11 of the 12 appropriations bills on a bipartisan basis and we did restore that money. So the NIH did get funded.
Cancer research got funded. Ag research funded.
I met with the researchers at UNL. I sat down with them.
I explained the situation. The appropriations committee
together with all the Republicans and all the Democrats passed 11 of the 12 appropriations bills on a bipartisan basis and that has not been done since 2017.
So the proof is in the pudding.
The proof is in the pudding.
The House of Representatives is in charge of appropriations and we have not only directed a process but written the bills that were ultimately signed by the president with appropriate guardrails to ensure that things like medical research are conducted.

Re: Eschaton: When The World Briefly Ended

Ali Velshi reposted this comment.
