None of us know what's going to happen for certain, do we? They're talking about phasing this in gradually until 2024. Overall, I think American employers and the economy will be just fine. If you think a vanishing middle class is acceptable and GDP growth no longer bringing the wage earners of this country along with it is fine, fine. I think that's going to lead to social unrest eventually and it just doesn't have to be that way. We're not talking about welfare here but trying to lift the standard of living for all working Americans. I can accept if you disagree with the policy approach, but it's not a bad objective is it?

Do you think wages should remain stagnant forever while corporate profits and the economy continue to grow? I don't see Republicans doing anything about fixing education, I see them cutting it dramatically. The minimum wage has represented much greater real purchasing power in the past then it does now. Raising it will accomplish greater velocity of cash moving through the economy because wage earners spend all their income. For what it's worth, according to the 2015 BLS stats, workers 25 and under made up about half of all minimum wage and less earners.

There are mountains of data about what's going on with respect to widening income inequality and the share of wage income (vs capital income and executive salaries) as a % of GDP, and the median growth rate falling *well* below the GDP growth rate for more than 15 years. It isn't rocket science either though and you don't need to be an economist to know there are ever more working poor in this country and ever less family-supporting jobs for people without higher education. It's a real and profound problem requiring more serious and thoughtful policy response than the current administration is probably capable of mustering.

We're talking about monetary policy response to inflation, right? Interest rates have been unusually low for a really long time. There's plenty of room to go up from 0! Fed governors are apolitical, generally.

Of course, but inflation hasn't been a credible threat in 20 years or so. Wages have broadly been stagnant to declining in that time and you see it in standards of living and even mortality rates. Our policy makers have a LOT more ammo to contain inflation on the upside as well.

The middle class has been vanishing for decades. All the growth in incomes is at the top and in capital income (dividends, interest, and rents). While corporate profits and GDP continue to grow, wage earners are increasingly left behind. Why not just give Americans a long needed raise? A little wage inflation isn't going to kill us. This is phased in too, over years, it's not an immediate, overnight jump to $15.

No, they don't. You confused the positions, not me. Everything I wrote is factual and can be independently verified. Sessions was 100% "less than accurate" and forthcoming about this. The unanswered questions are 1) why, especially since there's nothing wrong with a Senator talking to a foreign diplomat and 2) why can't he or any of Trump's other top people remember what it was they were talking about with Sergey Kislyak?

Sessions was literally the chairman of the Trump campaign's National Security Advisory Committee at the time he spoke with Kislyak. For context: On 9/1, the U.S. levied additional sanctions on Russia over "Putin's Bridge" to Crimea. On 9/4 & 9/5, Putin and Obama met at the G20. The Kremlin commented that the sanctions were not consistent with future cooperation between nations. On 9/7, Clapper suggested for 1st time Russia was behind the DNC email hack earlier in July. On 9/8, Sessions meets with Kislyak. THE SAME DAY, Trump goes on RU and says he doesn't think Russia is behind hack, says it would be "wonderful" if we had a relationship with Russia, and both he and Pence separately praise Putin and his leadership style. By the end of business, Kremlin spox are now publicly expressing optimism that Washington will show political will on building good relations with Russia post-election. On 9/13, 5 days after Sessions and Kislyak's meeting, a second batch of DNC-hacked emails and documents is released. What do you honestly think Sessions, a Trump super surrogate, talked to Russia's #1 diplomat about in the middle of all the above and how did the exact details slip his mind? It all defies credulity, frankly.

Why did he recall all our diplomats and foreign service people with a hard deadline of 1/20? Even the current commander of the national guard is being dismissed right in the middle of the inauguration...It's understood that these people would be replaced, but it typically happens gradually in the days and weeks after the inauguration to preserve continuity.

The private companies & ventures he's a partner in own the real estate, not him. Shares in private companies can and are sold (or transferred) just like shares in a public one. He's not retaining ownership because he cannot liquidate. He's retaining ownership because he simply doesn't think he has to. He's said as much.

"Air Force One" is a designated name for the President's aircraft, not specific model. The name has been in official use since 1962 which is actually more than 50 years, but the person you are telling to "get a clue" is right in that the 747-8 model had it's maiden flight in 2010. The President's 747-8 naturally has greater specifications than a regular one.

More time has been spent investigating Hillary than was spent on the investigations of 9/11, Watergate, Pearl Harbor, and JFK's assassination. This is a ham sandwich with no ham. So, at what point do Mr. Chaffetz's constituents tire of these political games that are wasting the taxpayers' time and money? Hillary has been under investigation for this stuff for _years_ and there's nothing that sticks. That's not going to change.

Uh, the 1040 is the tax return, again, just look at one, it says it right at the top! I'm not "trying" anything with you, that's what the IRS calls it, not me. It's my understanding the Sanders' haven't released a schedule A form that accompanies the 1040 and breaks out what they've itemized. I've already agreed with you that they should release this...there's no need to lie and say they've released nothing, because they have.
