(emphasis mine. In other words, obviously if you are using an outsourced DNS service like Ultradns, you would be able to qualify based upon the clause you cite. Forgive the generalization, but few anti-spammers would disagree with the statement that marketers demand what precious little time that they have, raising holy hell over "false positives" and "unfair blockages" or legitimate mail&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Marketers could help themselves a trremendous amount by moving wholesale to confirmed (double) opt-in which would negate spamtrap hits (aprt from confirmation messages, and that is manageable) and attenauting, drastically, user complaints, as well as providing the moral and technical high-ground they need to be able to argue about the validity of a given trap hit or complaint leading to a block.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Marketers should outright and actively be HELPING blacklists by sending them submissions of actual spam (UIRBL Phishtank are great places to start), and putting money where their mouth is - support any DNSBL that will accept your money, donate to &lt;a href="http://CAUCE.org" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="CAUCE.org"&gt;CAUCE.org&lt;/a&gt; so we can continue our work with all levels of government and international law enforcement (where the fight to deal with this viral problem really lies), and again, clean up your act so it is pristine, so the receivers and DNSBL operators don't need to hear from you, ever.
