Its simply brilliant, all the more so for the paint job! Excellent work :)

Re: Fluff Question: Which Sci-Fi Universe Would Win?

Haha, what a great little article, good work!

As to your question, well, its purely academic: The Emperor for teh win!

Re: Finished Ronin 1

Well done man, that looks sweet! The cheery freehand is very good, really effective. The flesh tones too are very nice indeed.

Re: BATREP: 1850 Tau v Chaos Deamons

What a batrep, a great read, thanks very much!

I was going to make my own comment about the uphill struggle the Daemons faced in this game, but your closing comments and sholto did the job for me.

Your point about the difference between 1500 and 1850 was very interesting, and I happen to agree - 1500 is the sweet spot as far as I'm concerned. Its much much harder to construct a balanced list and thus the games are often tighter. I wonder if you've seen Blood of Kittens' posts on this? They are worth reading!

Anyway, thanks for proving that the older books can still pack a punch. It make the Dark Angel in me smile!

Re: In Defense of 1500: Introduction

Good luck on your pro 1500 crusade! I'm lucky in that I play in the UK, where 1500 is standard. Although I do enjoy larger games its clear to me that it quickly becomes unbalanced in certain situations. At the end of the day the games designers explicitly say that 40k is meant to work at 1500, so if your organising a tournament, surely that should be the default setting?

Re: Doom Reavers WIP II

Well, they are coming along very nicely! Thanks guys!

@ MOMUS - Clash of heroes is great, a mission I'm really looking forward too. It involves taking a named character in each army, and then a very elite heavy force. The objective is to kill off the enemy's character first, but heres the kicker: the characters last wound can only be taken by the opposing character. Anybody else can bring his wounds down, but that last one MUST be claimed by someone suitably heroic. Awesome or what?!

Re: Completed Veterans MK1

Simply stunning as usual. As I guessed, I was looking at this with too much of GW game mentality.

Many thanks for explaining it, I'd been watching the discussion on the LO Tale of Painters threads with some confusion!

Re: Weekend Warmachine

Thank you for the reports, though they only reinforce how little I know about this game!

One thing that I have been wondering about though, why did they move everything to far lower points costs? To the complete outsider it would seem to suggest you had more limited options. I mean, if everything costs so little, do they have items like wargear and such? Or am I looking at this with too much of a 40k mindset?

Re: Meat for Meta: What the Fluff?

I've not got much to add to this great post, bar to say I'm really enjoying the FNG series, please keep it up!

Re: Empire Captain Done and Vacation!

Ah god bless LO, they often come up with some good ideas!

You've done a fantastic job here. It's great seeing this army grow mate, its going to be truly awesome when its done.

I'm sorry if you've already covered this, but what are your plans for the Valkyries? Are you going to be using the GW models, or some Helghast equivalent? For example, I know knob bikers are out there, and so I've put some prior thought into how I would deal with them.
