As you've discovered, though, the nice thing about funks is that they sometimes encourage writing. :) Also, my tree is still up, too. I took the wreath off the door so the neighbors wouldn't judge me, but it's still sitting on my coffee table.

Re: My 2 Year Blogiversary

Hooray! I actually used Bare Minerals Warmth for the contouring. It looks scary, but it goes on pretty light. For the highlighting, I used a combination of Bare Minerals Finishing Veil (which didn't work super well) and then I actually used an ELF white eyeliner pencil and blended it for some of the highlights, like on my nose and forehead and above my lip. But that's just because that's what was in my make-up drawer. I think yellow concealer would have looked weird on me, too, but the stuff I already had I knew was right for my skin tone, so I just used that.

Re: Five Things Not to Say to a Professional Blogger

Me too, girl. Just putting up the ad doesn't do much good if you don't get eyeballs on it.

Some other ad networks and affiliate programs work on commission, so you can do it that way, too. It just depends.

And as far as what constitutes a little or a lot, I'm not telling how much I make. ;) The best thing you can do is stick an Adsense unit up in your sidebar and let it run for a while, and see what kind of money you make from that. That will give you a baseline to start making decisions. Adsense doesn't pay out as much as some ad networks, but it's easy and anyone can get one.

Re: How do you make money on a blog?

Aw, thanks, Kate!
