We can't just easily judge a blogger for having one and who are we anyway to judge?

I used to have a Paypal button on the sidebar and there never was a time that I got a tip BUT...I simply use it for my direct advertiser's payments for ads on my site because it's the only way that they can't get away with the Paypal fees because it's fixed. No deductions on my end as receiver.

I did removed it because bigger amounts for direct advertisers are just an added burden to setup for a new button for a specified amount. Right now, I only deal with email payments.

Re: LogMeIn Makes "Anywhere" Possible.

Sounds great...No problem. I'll go take a look. I have tried similar software which I happen to forgot the name but it does the same functions. The only problem was that it's quite costly.

This one's good because I have several PCs at home that I would want to get control of. Good job on the research!

By the way, if you're interested with file sharing powered by Amazon Web Services cloud, I have a contest going on at the site, you might want to check it out and share with your readers too.

It's nice to be here for the second time. Gave you props on BE.

Re: The Top 7 Cash Gifting Questions Of All Time Answered Today!

"Give freely, receive generously. I never would have learned so many things if I had not learned how to blog.

Once you have accomplished something out of a great effort, there's a slim chance of letting go what you've started.

Re: Chasing Your Dream vs. Enjoying What You've Got

Our goals change over time, I believe. It's inevitable as well that there are points in our lives where we find contentment or longing for more--whatever it was. Eventually, time will come that we'll have to take the final decision on where we would want to be headed. Let's hope it's for the best.

As much as possible, while there's plenty of youthful wit and strength within us, it's better to take risks and enjoy things while it's there than missed out on them big time and ask ourselves, what if?

I'm sure that journey would give us more wisdom and learning than what most self-help books can only come up into words because we experience it--for real.

Re: Comments Will Be Closed After Two Weeks

It would be a little bit of additional work to do for dofollow blogs.

Re: Dropbox: A Privacy Black Box

I have tried using Dropbox in two separate instances but it was a complete failure. It always depends on how a blogger runs his blog and his blogging goals. I'm sure a lot of newbies has to learn from pros like yourself but again, what will matter in the long run is how will a blogger respond or make use of such learning to benefit himself.

Honestly, I don't get much comments like other blogs do but on a personal perspective, getting direct advertisers from time to time makes sense to me that I'm indeed creating valuable content with commercial value that's why software companies approach me.

If I were to respond to a comment or jump into a commentator's site, it's not always that I can do it, I make an effort but not most of time. Maybe it all depends as well if I really have something to say or I've read something that interest me.

It's reality that we cannot expect reciprocation (comments for instance) but again, it all boils down to balancing what matters the most (our goals) and the call for urgency (things that needs to be done in accordance to our goals).

Re: Disqus: Not So Stupid Anymore

I've used Disqus for some months but switched back to WP's default comment system just recently mainly because I was trying to reward my readers some link juice because it's a "nofollow" however, the good thing is that I didn't lost all my comments and as long as I retain my account with Disqus, I can go back anytime I want and I can leave a comment freely on Disqus-enabled blogs like this.

Re: Twitter Magazine - Engaging tweets

Cool site. I do it. I see my blog as my home that is open to the public and if you are my reader, you are my guest. If I accepted you as a guest into my home (with open arms) yet you messed up with me by throwing nasty remarks of any kind, I'll threw you out of my doorstep right up front.

Re: Blogosphere Alert: Prevent your WordPress blogs from being hacked!

Hi, Andrei. I'm sorry to hear that. Can you still access your blog admin Cpanel? Go to your account's File Manager and double check if there are PHP files that had been compromised via text editor. Also, inform your host about it and seek assistance. I cannot recommend right now that you download your database because of risks that it could be injected with malware or malicious codes that would allow them to keep coming back even if you decide to transfer them and do a clean install. The problem has to be tracked down first. I hope this helps.

Re: My Infolinks Report: $500+ on its first month!

My blog was accepted in Infolinks but the hard part is implementing the program which might bring up conflicts of interest with my advertisers.
