I'm unfortunately not watching the movie along with y'all but this movie is way too to good not to discuss so I wanted to put in two cents about the movie.
I watched this movie in an English class after discussing the Allegory of the Cave by Plato and how this movie is a representation of that piece of philosophy and I've been obsessed with this movie ever since.
One of my favorite things about the movie is the sky because it just doesn't look real, and I feel this connects to the shadows in the cave for the prisoners to look at in the allegory. This movie has more meaning than I could ever explain in one mini comment box!

I hope everyone enjoyed the movie and thanks, Bill, for choosing this for a Films on Friday. It's definitely a must-see!

Ah I love this song so much! Andrew definitely is indescribable. I saw Jack's for the first time this summer and my life is pretty much changed forever.

I heard you premiered a new song on friday?... anyone have a video of that on youtube??

Dear William,
I read the message a couple of hours ago on the tai website and I went into shock. I couldn't process this situation in my head for a while. I cried, I reminisced, I listened to jams.

I remember when i first listened to Almost Here like it was yesterday. It was early in the morning and I fell in love. I was alone in my room and just loved everything about the cd. You guys made these last 8 years amazing. With every note you played on a record and live, it was beautiful. With every TAI TV, it was hilarious. With every word you said or wrote, it made a difference. I cannot count how many times I looked to you guys during tough times, but also happy times.
WIth hearing the news, I just want to say thank you for everything. I don't have a facebook or twitter or anything so with this being my only connection to you, I just want you to know that I appreciate everything you've done in my life and thank you for giving me music to dance/sing/cry/smile/jam to all the time. The Academy Is... will never be forgotten and the music will forever play loud and proud in my heart and on the stereo :) I look forward to the future and wish you the greatest happiness.

I am SO excited for Harry Potter to come out. I've been catching up on all the movies this past weekend. Growing up with Harry Potter makes the ending incredibly sad :( But, it'll be an epic final battle :D Stoked.

To be honest, I'm not toooo fond of John Mayer but this song isn't that bad :)
Also, the main thing about this week's SNMC that caught my heart was what you said what you were doing when you were 17. I'm sitting here at 17 and lately I've been having trouble finding what I'm suppose to be doing with my life. Since my dad died only over a year ago, I think this is the first time where I'm trying to find a path and I didn't anticipated it to be so difficult. So this week, the post just reminded me of how much an inspiration you are :) So thank you:)

William, I can't believe you waited a whole lifetime to see this movie. It's fully amazing and it never gets old to be honest. Marc Webb is brilliant from directing music videos to this. Zooey Deschanel is a very talented and beautiful woman. And Joseph Gordon-Levitt just wins in every movie he does. (If you haven't yet, watch his new movie trailer for 50/50. It looks awesome :) )
Great choice for Movie Monday :D This scene is the best.
and 10 Things I Hate About You for the win! :)

I just got done crying so now i think i can write a comment now...
I'm very very sad to hear that The Butcher and Chizzy are leaving :( But, I love them and the rest of the band enough to not be mad or angry about this. I understand and wish them the best luck and happiness on their new projects and chapters in their lives. I'm happy that I can always count on you guys to be honest to your fans and I'm glad i got to hear this information directly from you guys instead of some poorly written magazine article or something. So thank you for that :)

Ah! William, I'm so glad you're back :) It's been so long, and it gets hard living without you and everything The Academy Is... for a long time :( So I hope you stay a while! :)
The song is great! Truthfully, I have heard OK Go since about "Here It Goes Again" days so this was a pleasant surprise :) I can't wait for more SNMCs because i definitely need some more good music in my life. :)

Your speech here is absolutely fabulous. I saw the video for the first time yesterday and I truly didn't judge you for it. I'm very familiar with you loving all of us and your band and friends. It's amazing how much you stand up for anyone you love. You are a great inspiration to me and the people that surround you at every show.
