So, Daniel Craig is Bond now, and so he's the best. (Provided we all understand about the writer's strike.) But the best villain is another matter -- Goldfinger was played creepy, odd and menacing, if a bit poorly written.

Re: NewswireSaturday Night Livegives job of playing Barack Obama to actual black man

Too bad they didn't pull Edgar Blackmon from Second City -- he does a great Obama.

Re: Let’s be mindful together about this new Apple stuff

One tiny thing: each update (iOS vs. OSX, for instance) is written like they sections are intended to be standalone. Graphically, however, the article is broken up far more by the images than by the bold text that starts each section. My recommendation would be to widen the photos to be inline with the column width (though this would be greatly improved if the images were less tall for users with smaller screens) and to add some space between the sections. I messed around in the Chrome developer tools and made the changes and it looks OK: http://twitpic.com/9vqmu2

Re: Engadget Giveaway: win a Sony 40-inch 1080p HDTV, courtesy of The Grey on Blu-ray and DVD

this will be the winner

Re: Three iPad giveaways in three days: day three, courtesy of Gogo!

Free?

Re: Three iPad giveaways in three days: day two, courtesy of CloudOn! -- Engadget

A good, integrated calendar appA total rethink of spreadsheets for multi-touch

Re: Engadget Giveaway: win one of three ioSafe 500GB Rugged Portable hard drives!

I just keep entering these ...

Re: AT&T continues 4G LTE expansion, plans to light up eleven markets by early summer

The star on the map over Indiana is over neither Bloomington, Lafayette nor Muncie. It could be called "close to Lafayette", I suppose, but it is a solid 75 miles off -- seems to be over Plymouth or South Bend.

To be fair, they would probably need smaller dots and starts to signify all three -- which are northwest, east and south of dotted Indianapolis.

Re: Engadget Giveaway: win one of two PlayStation Vitas, courtesy of Tanga!

Keep on keeping on...

Re: Facebook’s Mobile Problem Isn’t Ads — It’s The Product

One tangential thing I think worth considering is load time. I would like to use Facebook on my iPhone -- having a half-decent app has definitely increased the time I spend with the service. But unless I'm on wifi, I can't bear to wait to load a photo. Even when other websites and apps (like Spotify) will render what's asked of them, Facebook still very
often wont load.
Of course, this is only anecdotal ...

Facebook.com is also slow, relative to, say, Google search results on a desktop. But "somewhat slow" on a landline is certainly easier to deal with.

Re: Engadget Giveaway: win a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, courtesy of MHL!

Please?

Re: Engadget's Holiday Blues-buster 2011: win a Verizon Galaxy Nexus, courtesy of Appitalism!

Yes, please

Re: Engadget's Holiday Blues-buster 2011: win a Samsung Galaxy S II, courtesy of Broadcom!

Yes please

Re: Engadget's Holiday Blues-buster 2011: win an unlocked iPhone 4S, courtesy of Wyse!

PocketCloud will help me share all of the great memories of the last year with my family as we watch videos, review photos and (undoubtedly) swap a few well-intentioned receipts ... which of course, I now store digitally. Mr. O'Reilly's view is a fairly vast (and oft-believed) oversimplification of the changes in American business heavily tinted with a rosy view of bygone days as well as a wildly simple view of the issues of state-by-state tax nexus law.

Re: Engadget's back to school guide 2011: televisions

College!

Re: Engadget's back to school guide 2011: tablets

College!

Re: Engadget's back to school guide 2011: smartphones

College!

Re: Engadget's back to school guide 2011: printers

College!

Re: Engadget's back to school guide 2011: laptops

College!

Re: Engadget's back to school guide 2011: headphones

College!

Re: Engadget's back to school guide 2011: gaming

College!
