Street Sweeper Social Club is guitarist Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine and rapper Raymond “Boots” Riley of The Coup. They’re touring now with Nine Inch Nails and Jane’s addiction. They also played a set last week at The Roots’ show at Highline Ballroom in New York where they covered M.I.A’s “Paper Planes.” The video is below.

There were no first time jitters with this band. Their first public performance sounded as good as any seasoned band would sound live. Beautiful matching white Gretsch Falcon guitars and a bass adorned the stage. Alison Mosshart grabbed the mic and everyone in the room at the same time.
