However keep in mind that now the bundle ID is usually set inside the XcodeProject as build setting

PRODUCT_BUNDLE_IDENTIFIER. So that may be used in more places than just the info.plist.

Re: Protected: Code Signing Updates in Xcode 9

Almost. The bundle ID in the exportOptionsPlist is only the mapping key to the provisioning profile to use. It does not change the bundle ID of the compiled app. If you are changing the bundle ID you still need to do that before exporting an archive.

Re: SSL Pinning for Increased App Security by Jay Graves of Double Encore

Getting your certificate depends on the server system you are using. App Store apps are good to go once they are in the store. AdHoc and enterprise apps will fail to launch once the profile expires and will need to be re-signed with an updated profile.

Re: Code Signing in Xcode 8 - Possible Mobile

The entitlements in your profile must match the entitlements of the app.

Re: Code Signing in Xcode 8 - Possible Mobile

I'd really be interested in discussing more with you. True the private key is not what is embedded in the app, so there is no risk of that being exposed. However if the client device is somehow rooted the apps embedded certificate could be replaced with the attackers and the app would accept the attackers cert.

Re: The Developer's Guide to Unique Identifiers - Possible Mobile

MAC address is not an option as of iOS 7. That keychain would not survive a data wipe and would only survive a restore if you use encrypted backups to iTunes.

Re: Core Motion Activity Tracking in iOS 7

Sure, just please link back to this original article please.
